The only reason Im giving it a low stars is because I bought a iPad Air 2 and it says said IPad Air on the box. When I asked if this would fit my iPad air 2 they said it does. But when I got home it did fit but the buttons and holes are different and didn't match my iPad air 2. But it protect my iPad very well. I like the otters and I use them for my iphone. If you own a iPad air it well worth it. It will protect your iPad.

This product is really well made and is very durable. I have a 10, 8 and 2 year old at home and this case makes me feel confident that nothing will happen to my enclosed Ipad. Unless it gets thrown in the toilet, then I'm screwed! The only con would be the plastic screen cover. Sometimes it takes a little more pressure to click on something or to respond to an action. Overall, the benefits outweigh this little con.

This is a great product. It is very sturdy and secure. It is a bit difficult to get it open the first time. It was a tiny bit easier when I had to open it again to get some dust out. But you won't have to worry about it accidentally opening if you drop it. It will protect your iPod very well. The screen protector is great too. I love this.

great protection for the iPad - I was having doubts allowing my 9 year old control of a $350 device, but with the Otter Box, I worry no more - she's dropped it, tripped and set it flying across the room, sat on it more times than I can count - even got it caught in the recliner mechanism - not a scratch - best protection money can buy

I have owned an iPad for over 4 years now. Of course, I have updated a couple of times along the way. Before this latest purchase I always used a Griffin Survivor case for my iPad(s) because it offered the best protection. The problem with the latest Survivor for my iPad Air was that it wasn't put together as well as the previous ones with the silicone part wanting to come off at the edges. This Otter Box Defender is built much better than the Survivor and gives as much protection as I need. The lid or cover also is very nice and a much better stand for the iPad than the one from the other company.

Got this for my new I pad was easy to install and I dropped it that day with no damage one small problem the volume buttons do not match the I pads you have to open the small door on the upper right to increase it and the button under it to lower it the bottom button does not touch the devices ones

I would highly recommend. When you invest the amount of money into the ipad air, you want to protect it. This is the way to go. It is durable and well worth the money. I got a great sale on it, so it was an amazing deal, but even had I had to purchase it at full price it would be worth it. I would highly recommend it to all.

Excellent protective case, easy to use, fits well.

Great protection overall for your iPad. Because i have dry hands, objects tend to be slippery for me so the rubberized case gives me a good grip when holding my iPad. What i don't like is the lightning port covering tab. I can see that eventually the little flap that covers the port from dust and the elements will break off due to the comstant use of charging my device. The rubberized little flap will break off because thst that happed to me after using it for only a year

I've bought a lot of iPads, and a lot of various cases, and this otterbox case had the best fit while assembling of any of the cases I've purchased. I've normally bought others because of the price difference, but got this on sale for less than the case I usually buy. Next time I'll buy this even if it's not on sale.

I bought two of these cases for my 9 yr old twins new iPads. They are very easy to assemble and super durable! I feel comfortable with them walking around the house with them or even going to their friends house. If I didn't have these cases they would never be able to use them lol!

My wife just received an IPAD Air for her classroom & I felt that this was the perfect case to protect it from her & her students. It has been dropped a couple of times by her & her students so I has been worth the money I spent. If you have young children then this is perfect for you. Worth every penny!

I wasn't sure about the thickness of this case. I didn't really want it to be so bulky but I have to admit, it's already saved my iPad a few times. With a 7 and a 5 year old around, accidents happen frequently. The Otter Box case has saved me a ton of money. I am very glad I got this case.

If you're looking for protection this is great. Kinda bulky and makes the ipad heavy but serves the purpose.

This product does what it was intended to do...protect the iPad against any number of events and/or types of people. Put your iPad in this case and let your worries subside knowing that it will be in perfect condition when you give it to a more responsible person and/or choose to sell it.

We have a 2 year old that loves using the iPad Air and just like all kids they tend to throw things down that they don't want or they tend to throw things out of the grocery cart when they want to. It has serviced my son so far.
