I LIKE THIS CASE VERY MUCH.STRONG ENOUGH FOR MY JOB.PROTECTS MY PHONE THAT WHEN IT DROPS,IT DOESNT BREAK THE PHONE.IT HAS A TIGHT FIT FOR MY PHONE.NOTHING IS LOOSE

Case does a great job protecting the iphone. Feels tough and does not slip out of my hand.

Otter case easy to install and keeps my phone safe from drops and damage

Received an iPhone 5 from my brother as he upgraded to a 6. First smartphone so wanted to really protect it well. This does the trick and the teal color is special

Bought this for my wife's iPhone 5s. It offers great protection and she loves the colors.

Positives: Very sturdy and durable "looking". Provides very snug fit for iPhone and have not had problems with dirt/dust particles, hair, etc getting in under clear plastic screen on front of phone which has always eventually been a problem sooner or later with previous cases. "Tabs/covers" that pull out to cover up and protect headphone jack, USB port to charge phone (both at bottom of phone) and tab that covers Do Not Disturb switch on side of phone all holding up much more than cases I have had in past. Seems like it will hold up and protect phone very well if dropped. Negatives: Although I still believe it will normally hold up and protect phone very well, I had the misfortune to have the 1 time out of 100 that it did not protect phone as well as it should have. Recently had phone in Otter box on belt in clip when it slid off belt while in bathroom and hit hard tile floor. After that phone would not come back on, reboot, etc and I wound up having to get new phone. Overall: Maybe the best case I have had for any phone I have had. Hoping that recent incident when phones slipped off of my belt was a problem with belt and not clip. Also hoping it breaking when it fell was just a fluke and it hit just hard enough in the right spot that caused the problem. Would strongly recommend this Otter box

Though the thick cover is good for protection, it makes it a little bulky when kept on your waist. But overall it has been great when I've dropped the phone

This case is strong and sturdy perfect for my husband who does construction the deep sides helps prevent the screen from shattering when hitting a flat surface. I also have a glass screen cover opposed to the plastic one this case comes with. Nice color which really dosent matter to me the main purpose is the protection of the phone I feel this is a good product. Just expensive.

I WEAR A SUIT EVERYDAY TO WORK, AND WORK ON THE FARM ON THE WEEKENDS. CASE LOOKS GREAT AND PROTECTS MY PHONE WELL. TRUST ME, I'VE DROPPED IT A BUNCH AND NO CRACKED SCREENS. I LIKE USING THE BELT CLIP ACCESSORY AS WELL. I HATE CARRYING A PHONE IN MY POCKET.

At this time Apple® iPhone® SE, 5s and 5 is getting a little long in the tooth. However, it still works and I need to stretch my budget. I kept my phone in my pocket and this is the second one that the screen started to detach. I rushed down to the store with cash in hand and willing to do anything to keep the phone going; I even considered super glue. After they calmed me down the OtterBox - Defender Series Case for Apple® iPhone® SE, 5s and 5 – Black was offered as a solution. Sure, enough the phone went into the OtterBox in pieces and now works as new. It snapped in very easily. The OtterBox holds my phone together and now I keep it on my belt. I was a fool not to get this a long time ago as it is very convenient and actually easier to use.

The defender works great against accidental drops. I wish the screen protector wouldn't scratch as easy as it does. It would also be nice if they could cut down on some of the bulk on the defender. But it's still the best case on the market for the money.

I'm a big fan of Otterbox. I'm not such a big fan of the insurance policies the phone companies want to try to sell me. I've found that Otterbox keeps my phone safe as long as I'm not dumping it overboard. The phone has been dropped, chewed on, thrown by a 2yo, fallen out of the car onto pavement and survived it all. I've seen the screen damage on so many phones from a simple fall---I'm amazed that Otterbox has kept mine from that type of damage. Have a 2+ year old 4S that is in pristine condition because of Otterbox. I was HARD on that phone but it's still chugging along.

the case is great but the screen protector that comes on it is not so good I pulled it out and replaced it with a zagg screen protector works great

If you've ever used an Otterbox Defender case, you know what to expect. This case is durable and reliable. If you inadvertently drop your phone a lot, this is the case you want in order to avoid any screen or phone damage. The only potential negative is that Defender cases are bulky so they will not likely fit comfortably in tight jeans or slim fit style clothing. Khaki pants work fine with this case, as does dress pants. The plastic screen protector that is built-in is good for keeping the phone screen unblemished but does reduce the phone's touch sensitivity a tiny bit. This case is not waterproof but since most of the phone is covered, I don't have any worries using my phone in mild rain.

Great case, wish otter box had a full water proof version like the Life case.
