I hate spending money to protect my phone, but this case is so worth the $50. I've dropped my phone more times than I care to admit and it still works because of this case. Very happy for this purchase. If you're a clutz like me, and sometimes use your phone as a coaster, this is the case for you!

The Defender does the job. It will protect your phone and comes with a handy belt clip. I wish it was waterproof and the screen protector could adhere to the screen better.

Swear by otter box now. Has saved me and my family a ton of money by protecting our devices from life's crazy and unpredictable mistakes

This cover is excellent and my husband is ROUGH on his phones. He actually picked at the back of this cover and peeled the rubber off, and it still held up through his abuse.

The otter box fits the phone perfectly and really protects the phone. Top quality craftsmanship.

Seems to protect the case from drops but not from my girlfriend finding out about the new Phone/account on Verizon.

I like the tabs that cover the ports and the way that they fit back into place. The bottom one comes out sometimes, but it isn't a big deal. You can just fit it back into place. It has a rubber "suit" that goes over that, and the entire unit fits well into the provided belt-clip. I love that I did not have to buy a screen protector for this case because there is a permanent one already installed on it.

I am very tough on phones, frequently dropping them or hitting them against counters. But, because of otter boxes I've never had a cracked or broken screen/phone.

Heavy duty cushioning for a phone. I feel safe carrying my new S4 around. It adds bulk to an already large phone, but I have gotten used to it. In my opinion, it is not really esthetically interesting to look at, but it is a good product. I like the no slip grip. Don't have to worry about my phone slipping out of my hands.

The otterbox defender is an awesome case for the Galaxy S4. The phone by itself is a bit thin and difficult to hold on to (I have big hands), but in the otterbox it is easy to hold on to, feels secure in my hand, and the rubberized texture give me security that I will not drop it. Plus the durability of the case makes me feel confident that if I do drop it my phone will be nice and safe. Nice case!

so far this case seems very strong and durable. Have dropped phone couple times, no problems. Belt clip seem a lot stonger and unbreakable compared to others

All 4 members of our family have one. It's the best case out there, especially for those of us who are tough on our phones. It has saved us many times

Keeps my phone like brand new. The case is a bit bulky and ugly... but it is the only case that protects my phone all around for a reasonable price. Just replaced another that lasted 2 years but started to fall apart.

Definitely a fan of Otterbox cases, as they are the only ones I buy. If you want to protect your electronic products, then get an Otterbox.

so far had it for a few months and has kept my phone protected. it not easily to take the case apart when you want to clean the case

This phone case is the strongest one I've seen on the market. Protects the phone and screen too.

This is my second Samsung in 4 years and my first Otterbox case. It was easy to get on and I'm impressed with this case so far.

Great fit and protection. Access to all ports but they are protected well with access doors.

Fits the phone perfect. Not to big. Stays clean. Just dont like opening for the charger.

This item does a great job of keeping my phone secure. After dropping my phone and cracking the front a bit I hope that this protector continues to do its job. Although it's not as bulky as I thought it would be (my dad's iPhone Otterbox is), it is still decent. Totally would recommend you buy it when you get your new phone or if you have an S4 already. While my phone's screen didn't crack horribly like other people's phones I've seen, I wouldn't want this to happen to you. Get one!
