You get an inner hard plastic part that attaches firmly to the phone and a flexible, rubbery outer part that fits over that. There is also a part that you can snap on to clip to a belt, although I have never used that part. I have dropped my phone numerous times and the case has protected the phone completely well. I've had no problems with the on/off and volume switches that are covered up. The cover for the power connector is holding up well. It makes a large phone even larger, so it doesn't fit easily into some shirt pockets, but I'd rather have the expensive phone protected.

Great case with excellent protection just bulky but maybe that's what you get for excellent protection

It's a bit bulky, but a solidly made case. Otter always makes very good products.

Have Google pixel 2 XL. I Was tossed between this and Motorola with Moto mods. Have had phone for a week now. Part of me wishes I went with Motorola. This one said it had best camera on the market but I am yet to be impressed by it. Also was told battery would be better than Moto Z force not the case as I understand it. Sound is better slightly than my old phone. Overall I am left unimpressed so far hopefully that changes.

Every year I upgrade my cell phone and each time I get a new OtterBox Defender. Not only do I like the holster clipped to my belt, for easy access to my phone, I know I am getting the best protection for the phone.

I liked the "grippiness" of the case so it was easy to handle without slippage, but it did make my pixel a smidge to wide for me to use comfortably. I ended up giving this on to my husband, who has the same phone. It definitely keeps a phone safe!

The case protects the back and sides of the phone. On the front, it extends about 3mm to provide some protection of the screen. On the back, there are cut-outs to expose the fingerprint sensor and the camera lens & flash. The cover over the USB connector on the bottom seems sturdy and won't eventually fall away after years of use. The case has a grippy texture for holding onto it. The covers for the power and volume buttons work well; on my prior phone, they cover impeded operation of the phone's buttons.

Case is well made and provides good protection and provides a good grip when holding the phone.

This case is rugged and really protects the phone well. I like the rubbery grip to the sides.

This is a great case for my husbands phone. The works around a lot of dirt. But with this case on it helps protect the phone and charging port from all the excess dirt. I don't know how many cases we have tried for his phone. But this is the one that finely works the way he wants it to.

This is an excellent product and has protected my phone well over the past two years. When you spend $$$ on a nice phone, you need high-quality protection against fumbles and drops, and this is the best.

After owning this case for 3 weeks, I feel like I can do a review. The case is light weight and fits my Pixel 2XL like a glove! Case does not cause my phone to slip out of my hand either. All in all, I am very pleased with it.

This Google phone is outstanding! Simpler than many phones I've used to navigate thru apps and different functions, and is quite fast . Photos are amazing for clarity and color.

Love the case disability just not the dust that gets into the space between the case and the screen

We purchased two of these phones. They are the best cellphones that we have had. I especially like that the battery lasts for around 40 hours. The camera is excellent.

I am glad I got this case. It’s bulky, but protective. When I have the clip part on (easy to get on and off) I can’t pry open the charger flap, so that’s a minor inconvenience. But overall, very happy and would definitely get again.
