Super easy to put on my phone. Doesn't make my phone feel bulky or heavy. Awesome to know my phone is better protected from damage. A little worried about the tabs breaking off at the bottom.

It's a very sturdy case. It's one of the better-built cases however it comes at a huge price and does not come with a screen protector. The separate screen protector costs a pretty penny and reviews for it don't seem to be good. I purchased a WhiteStone Dome Glass but unfortunately after applying the WhiteStone, the Otterbox Defender no longer fit. It'll be a choice between the WhiteStone screen protector (which looks extremely well if applied properly) or the Otterbox Defender if you were to consider the WhiteStone Dome Glass. I would also be careful about any other screen protectors being compatible with this case, too.

I got a new phone and had another case on it which had me on pins and needles because I didn’t trust it to or text my phone. Now I’m secure enough with the otterbox defender again like I had on my old phone to know my phone is as protected as it can be in this case. I’m not afraid to let my son play with my phone anymore now and I love the color especially since my S9 plus phone is also purple.

The Otterbox Defender Series are the ones I've used on my last five phones. The only thing that I do not like is now it comes without screen protection but zagg usually is a good one to buy. This case is very protective of the phone and does what it says it will. I have already dropped my phone at least three times and my case has saved it. It you want to protect your phone this is the way to go.

I was delivered this case today. Only reason I'm writing this review now though is to let make sure you know this does NOT come with the built in screen protector. States in the description on this site that it does but that is incorrect. The Otterbox site sells these with or without a built in screen protector. The one sold here does NOT have one. This site needs to make this more clear.

These things take a BEATING and just keep going saving your phone from assured death everytime. The drops this thing had saved my phone from is nothing short of amazing. Yes it makes your phome more bulky, but you'll get used to it. You can't get used to a smashed screen...

I have been purchasing cheaper cases for several years only to have to replace them after several months. Also they do not protect the phone. I looked at numerous cases and finally got the otterbox. It does cost a lot more but it is worth it. It protects the phone and the belt clip is heavy duty. Don't waste your time with other cases.

Thinner than my last Otterbox Case for the Note 3 which is a plus. My previous 2 cases had a built in screen protector but this one does not unfortunately. I'm disappointed with the higher price on a product with a "missing" feature, but I would still recommend it for those who are active - I definitely use it when I go cycling or hiking

Found it! Best cell phone case ever. Otterbox brand, make:defender series. I love the feel and quality of this case for my galaxy s9+ phone. It was a bit pricey but worth the buy and protects my phone to the max! If you are looking for the best I would buy this case. Price is about the same at store and online

I have protected my phones for personal, family and business with Otterbox cases for the past six years. The Defender Case for my S9 plus gives solid protection, fits the phone, and allows access to camera and accessory ports, It has prevented damage when the phone was dropped. I recommend the case,

Love this cover. This the 2nd one I have had and just love the color and the protection it gives the phone. Years ago I had my old phone knocked out of my hand and it fell a good 6 foot, I just knew that the screen or phone would be damaged but it was not, from that point on I will not get any other phone case.

This Otterbox case is very good and it protects the phone very well. I don't like how the holster is a sideways only holster and the clip is a little loose when you try to turn it. The actual case on the phone is very very good but as prove their new norm it does not have a Built-in screen protector which is disappointing

I need a case to withstand a hard existence every day. I want full coverage, a belt attachment capability, and a quick, easy and secure in and out capability. This case does all of that and protects the phone from impacts and falls. I feel very secure in knowing the phone is well protected, and it looks good as well.

This case is the best one I have ever had! I wanted to protect my phone which I had just bought & after doing tons of research I decided to try this one. I was so happy I went with it. Grip is great & has texture to help you from dropping it. Solid & should take alot of damage. Highly recommend!

I got this case for my girlfriend, she's extremely rough on phones. With having a $900 phone in her hand, I wanted the best all around protection for the device, this does just the trick. Plus with bring rubberized around the whole thing, it's harder to slip out of the hands or pocket. Does the job perfectly.

I upgraded my Galaxy S5 with the Defender for years to the S9+. Protects the higher investment just like the old one! (Different size case, of course) The handy clip -on belt holder is also great. One caveat: The structure of the case has protective rubber caps for the USB-C and other connectors on the bottom. And the skeleton case also has reinforced plastic obstructions protecting those ports. If you have oversized or "beefy" USB or earphone connectors, they may not clear them. I also have a camera which attaches to the USB-C (DJI Osmo Pocket with a USB-C interface slide in adapter) which will not reach (too short) through the Defender. You may need a USB-C female to male extender (longer than normal and slim to fit through the Defender) or settle for a cable that does the same (make sure it's charging and data!). I chose the adapters. The Defender always does it's job . . . but if you have exotic uses for your S9+, there are ways to adapt.

This otter box isn't as bulky as those I have had in the past. I picked this defender series based on what it has to offer and it has really delivered. I love that the brand has a warranty. I've dropped my phone several times and there has been zero damage. Highly recommended.

Case works good as a phone protector, only issue I have with it is trying to find a screen protector that will work with it. The raised top and bottom on the front keeps the screen from hitting if set down face down but i would feel better if I had something to cover the screen with, maybe should have bought the case with built in screen cover. The rounded edges of the s9 make screen protectors hard to use with a case

I have always gotten the Otter boxes but was always a little disappointed in their thickness but figured it was added protection. The new case for my S9+ is just as protective but somewhat thinner and sleeker looking. Love the black color and accents the phone well!
