The protection is great but after about a week of owning the case, it’s annoying to use my phone now because it squeaks every time I hold it! Never have I owned an iPhone case that squeaks like this one. I own the iPhone XS so I know it’s not a compatibility issue but it feels like the inside plastic fit isn’t snug which causes the plastic to rub and squeak on the surface of my phone. I can’t imagine what damage that could be causing.

Now, it is a separate $25 purchase. Price for the case hasn’t gone down though. It is also very difficult to open the charging port. I don’t love it. It’s just fine.

After a lot of testing, our engineers determined that the best way to interact with the screens on these newest devices was without the addition of a built-in screen protector. That being said, these new screenless Defender Series case designs will still provide the same quality of protection as their predecessors.
