Samsung stingy

After paying almost $1,300 US dollars, I had to run back to the store to spend an extra $20 dollars on a specific wall charger because it doesn't support the regular android USB connectors that I have at home. Why isn't this standard, ...why reinventing the wheel?? Very inconvenient and totally ridiculous!
