I’m a long time user of OtterBox case with clip. I think the first one might’ve been called the “Transporter” now “Defender”. I began using this product with the iPhone 5 and then upgraded to the SE. My original case was more rubberized and was used for both phones for at least 4 years. I did replace the clip once as it cracked while in my beach bag. When the case was worn out finally, I went to Best Buy to replace it and it was on sale too. The reason for the 4 star rating is for 2 reasons. The opening around the camera lenses is not as recessed allowing for more protection as it was in the past. The other is the area on the case where it clips into the holder. I feel it’s a bit narrow making me feel a little insecure while clipping it on and while wearing it on my pant waist. Looking closely at it the part on the case seems small, yet it is a bit deeper than the original. On the clip, it has 2 teeth that securely snaps into the opening on the case. Time will tell regarding the quality of this product. Maybe it’s just me, having had the other for so many years. I find myself being more careful while handling, putting down on a surface, and using the phone. I’m a klutz and my 2 previous phones survived flying out of my hand and many drops. I pray this one will do the same. I am going to register it with OtterBox and hope I never have to contact them with an issue of the product not working properly. I trust this company and if you’re like me and need to always have it clipped on your body and not put it down and leave or lose your phone, this is the product for you. Pricey, but worth every penny.

These cases are always good, and with some of the enhancements in the last two generations, have some good grip structure and feel. The bad news is the MagSafe lack of charging. There will be many that don’t care about this, so these are still one of the best cases around. Lack of MagSafe compatibility has dropped the value of this case somewhat, hopefully you are a smart shopper and getting yours at a sale or reduced prices. Solid, too notch protection!

This otter box fits snuggly and protects phone and display glass from damage extremely well.

This brand is the best. The only reason I ever have to buy a new case is when I upgrade my phone so to size variations.

The product is good but the lack of written instructions on how to attach it to the phone would have been more helpful instead of just showing picture instructions. And after applying my screen protector then attaching the Otter case a bubble appeared under the screen protector that won't go away, so I wasn’t happy with that.

It’s what you expect from otter box. Some say their quality has diminished but I disagree. This case is made amazingly well and rugged but slim. Very protective and I feel as tho if I were to drop my phone from different heights onto different surfaces I do still believe this would keep my phone safe as otterbox has on all of my other previous devices.

Protected my iphone 12 which has been dropped by my toddlers on our tile. These are tanks of protection.

I have been using the Otter Box defender cases for my phones for several years now and I have nothing but good to say about them. They have, without exception, protected my phone from drops on to every surface from soft to literally rock hard. Yes, it adds bulk to the phone but, that is not an issue for me. Having my phone protected against drop damage is far more important. If you want excellent drop protection for your phone the Otter Box Defender case is a great option.

Been using these for years. They offer solid protection but can be expensive if your not catching them on sale or price matching. They’ve gotten lighter and slimmer. Not a ton of options for this level of protection.

A must have after spending so much on a phone! Last phone still looks like new after 4 years with this style of case and I have dropped it so many times. This case is better as the rubber grip gives you a better grip making it less slippery. The design around the screen is perfect as well as the buttons. The covers over the charger port and the lock fit perfect. No problem charging the phone either.
