Dropped iPhone from 5 stories, it bounced twice on concrete. Had an Otterbox case and the screen protector didn't even break!! Since then, Otterbox is the brand I always buy. I feel like I can do anything with confidence my $2000 phone is protected. The clear is really nice so I can put my own art on the phone and change it anytime I want.

When I purchased my iPhone 16 pro max + got the “same” otterbox defender pro series case, it’s significantly different is less protective allow it’s the same series and name as this iPhone 17 pro max case So when I purchased my new iPhone 17 pro max (since I’ve been been purchasing the highest protection otterbox cases since I got the first iPhone back in 2012) I choose this highest protection quality case, and the protection it offers yet isn’t clunky, oversized, hefty, nor heavy or too large especially important for people that don’t have huge hands like me, is a night and day upgrade in quality and reliability to protective my iPhone that I’m so clumsy I drop ALL the time on every surface….. dependable and i recommend it if u want something to protect your iPhone from all damage no matter the surface or high hard or high it falls when dropped…. You don’t even need some screen protectors with this.

The case is a perfect fit. It’s different from the traditional defender because it doesn’t hold all the extra weight from the full rubber casing. It has very nice weight to it. Very strong and durable. The plastic back of the casing isn’t easy to scratch. It has a VERY nice grip to it. I have the silver 17 proMAX so the blue compliments it very well. Better than the black in my opinion.

Love this case. Have always used Otter for phone protection and this one is just as durable as my previous. I like the see through aspect of this one so you can actually see the phone color I chose.

I am quite happy with the OtterBox Defender I got for my new iPhone. The transparent back shows the orange color of the phone while the rubber sides provide a nice, textured surface to hold. And interestingly, this OtterBox has a spot to attach a lanyard if you want to. Even so, l have already managed to drop my new phone and am pleased to report that the phone and OtterBox survived without a scratch.

I am very happy with the case. I like how it is more durable than previous cases. It didn’t feel heavy either.

Otterbox is known for premium cases to protect iPhones. This case is no different. I liked the clear back so my blue iPhone could show through. It’s a solid case with very strong MagSafe magnets. Holds to my MagSafe chargers well. It’s a well made cause but is a bit pricey.
