This case offers fabulous protection with a neat and clean fit. No worries of it coming off or apart like the older version. The kids have dropped the iPad numerous times with no damage because of the case. Abit pricey but worth the investment.

Ok so after the garbage one that was on the IPad did not do its job and a screen replacement, I opted to purchase this nice case. I already had one for the other iPad and was pleased with it and it's warranty. Long story short, get these on sale for half the price of retail. Love the box and love the service Best Buy offers here at our local store.

I always purchase this brand protector to my iPads and iPhones, I purchase the first iPad 4 years ago for my kids with this protector and the iPad looks new and intact, after several drops, small amount of water and stain on screen that obviously it can be clean because is plastic on top! I won't recommend anything else but this brand and protector!

I love Otterbox! It has saved my phones, Ipods and Ipads from myself. Works great, fits into my Dooney Carly Olivia and my Florentine satchel bags easily. Though it does grow a bit heavy over time when carrying it.

I have had a couple cases before this that were terrible. I ended up needing to get the screen replaced because it cracked when my daughter dropped it on its edge. I bought this case after I fixed it and it's the best investment I've made to keep my iPad safe. I bought one for my brother once he saw how awesome this case was.

Fits perfect and protects IPad while kids use it !!

Our child loves the ipad and we've learned the hard way (repairing screen) the importance of having a tougher ipad case that protects all corners, drop resistant, screen protector! We also have Griffin but it is bulkier ( but does great job too so far, on another iPad). Got the Defender for spouse's ipad that kid also uses. Had for about a month, lighter weight or so it seems, less bulky than Griffin, great protection so far, and best part, Best Buy matched price of competitor add I found on my phone, on the spot! Got Defender for great deal! Happy w/ purchase and Best Buy.

If you live in a dry area, it might be a little tricky to install the iPad into the Otterbox without getting tiny pieces of fiber between the iPad screen and the protective screen so be sure to check and see if lint fibers got trapped between the two when you're installing your device into this case. Once you get all the lint off (air seems to be the only thing I could use to get lint to go away) and the Otterbox is fully assembled, you shouldn't have any problems. This device offers excellent protection and it's of the highest quality. Everyone should have one.

I use it for my 4 year old son's ipad. He drops, throws, and hits it all the time with no damage to the ipad because of the OtterBox. I made the mistake of replacing the OtterBox with a different brad once and the ipad broke within days! OtterBox works great, I'll never buy anything else again.

This is my second case for my ipad. Had the exact same before, it lasts a while and its a great protector no doubt! But the downfall is that eventually with a lot of use and handling- the silicone outter shell will fall off. Once that happens your actual ipad would still be encased in the hard shell plastic and plastic screen cover, it just hurts terribly when you accidentally drop it on your foot, thats when I ordered a second. Normal wear- lasts 4 years

It installs easily and logically and the fit and finish are superb. It is very bulky and heavy but worth the minor inconvenience to protect the device

Our seven-year-old daughter uses the iPad on a regular basis and we are always afraid that if she dropped it would break. Well now with this case on it we don't have to worry anymore! Actually not long after we put it on the iPad she dropped it in the living room and iPad was safe and sound!

This is the 2nd Otterbox Defender I've purchased. The case adds a great style unlike other cases on the market which aren't very flash out all. It completely protects the iPad from drops and minor water spills. I'm a parent so my young boys always have their hands on the iPad. It's safe to say without the Otterbox case the iPad might not be around today. Haha The built in protective screen also is a great feature that protects the screen and saves you money from buying those expensive plastic screen covers. The only negative comment I can make about the case is that it definitely makes the iPad feel heavier but it's worth it for the protection and peace of mind.
