Screens on phones like these are hard to protect... it's the biggest flaw, IMO. No case seems to be amazing at protecting these, but this one seems to be the best. The phone is comfortable in my hand, the rubber edging allows me to hold it without dropping it. Note, the rubber also means it isn't great in pockets and small purses. Regarding a face down fall, it seems to be able to protect the screen well (unless there is a weird rock or edge of something). Photo posted is meant to show the space between the installed phone and a flat surface, even though most surfaces aren't smooth like glass. No drop has happened yet to test it out.

I definitely enjoy this case as it does the phone justice. Pro's: +Slim design without sacrificing protection. +Port covers and buttons all feel solid. +Direct access to screen means no input obstruction. +Sound isn't muffled by the case. +Perfect fit. Con's: -The price is pretty steep, even for an otterbox. You can find competitive prices for most cases across retailers but this one is high across the board. -Installing the case is couterintuitive at first. - The clear backing is nice, but I should have gone with black. The plastic shows imperfections and finger prints visibly. I think scratches may stack over time. -Direct access to the screen also means that it could get scratched in your pocket or shattered if directly impacted on the face. Overall, I feel assured my phone is safe from the daily strains it goes through but in retrospect I would wait for a more reasonable price and get it in black.

The case was very easy to install and feels snug on the phone. It has a great amount of protection the entire way around, and accommodates the curved screen very well. In addition, the bottom of the case which redirects the bottom facing speaker towards the front actually makes video watching even better. It does all this without being overly bulky either. Would highly recommend.

Pros: Very well made, durable quality, exact fit, very protective. Cons: Over priced, not easy to put it on and off, dirt managed to go between the clear back and the back of the phone, Although it is a clear case but it doesn't show the phone's real color and most importantly it will prevent the phone from wirelessly charging on a stand wireless charger, fortunately my wireless charger is adjustable so I can only charge it wirelessly by laying it down.

From Day 1 I've had my Galaxy S9+ protected by an Otterbox protection case, and felt very comfortable with that choice (great overall product). I'd researched the new Pursuit series, but with minimal history and a higher price point, chose another model. Due to a really great holiday sale at BB, I was able to snag the Pursuit cover at a bargain I couldn't pass up. I went with the clear version so that the coral blue phone could now actually be seen. Some have expressed concern about visible scratches, but I've seen no hint of that, and I'm not very rough on my phone either. Putting the case on was rather simple, and I do suggest powering it off while doing so, since pressure on both sides of phone at same time can result in some settings being adjusted that you didn't intend with the combo of buttons happening. Also triple-check that the inside of the cover is completely lint free, as anything will clearly show once installed. I made that error. The front 'lip' is more defined than my other Otterbox so it seemingly protects more. All phone buttons work properly, and the flap covers for power and headphone jack are of a quality that appears to be long-lasting. I'm really pleased with this purchase, and find it very easy to recommend it to others. I would purchase again with no hesitation.

I purchased a Defender case for my Samsung Note 3 several years ago with excellent results. I’m sure I dropped the Note 3 a half dozen times with absolutely no negative repercussions. I decided to buy the Pursuit this time, but also purchased a new Defender case for another phone in the family. The greatest difference between the two is the rubber on the Defender case is a bit stickier and gives a much better grip than the Pursuit case. While the Pursuit has a slicker finish, it has 2 features I prefer over the Defender. The port covers are very flush and much easier to close on the Pursuit. Also, the case redirects the downward facing speaker in an upward direction. No more cupping your hand over the speaker to enhance audio output. PROS: - Tight, solid fitting - Tough, resilient & sleek - Upward speaker redirection CONS: - Does not come with glass protector - Pricey

Perfect fit for my s9+. GREAT PROTECTION! I love the clear back. Someone could easily personalize with a sticker or something between the phone and case that could be seen from the back. WORKS GREAT WITH THE OTTERBOX ALPHA GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR!

I recently got a new Galaxy S9+ and was in search of a new case for it. For the past several years, my "go to" case has been the Otterbox Defender, so that was the first place I started looking. As I was investigating, I also noticed that Otterbox had another option that appealed to me: the Pursuit. I ended up opting for the Pursuit since I liked the idea of not having to deal with/clean the multiple layers of the Defender. Thus far, I've been really happy with this new style of case. I feel like my phone is well protected. The fact that the clear back allow me to see the actual back of the phone is an added benefit.

Great protection for my phone. Good sound quality. Nice looking. Easy to take pictures with case on.

Purchased this before I even had phone in hand. Had a good feel to it and less bulky than the defender series case. The clear back is a great addition to show off your new galaxy S9+. My only complaints would be getting the front seated back in during installation was difficult and the buttons on the side are quite stiff. Hopefully the rubber eases up after some use.

I picked up this case for my recently purchased Galaxy S9+. I wanted something different than the solid back cases I normally have had. This case feels sturdy and the clear back shows off the blue phone back. I like the lip on the front of the case a little more than the similar Lifeproof case. The case is a little pricey and the clear back does get scratched.

The Otterbox Pursuit Case for Samsung S9+ is perfect fit for the phone. It keeps everything protected while keeping a small footprint in your hand and pocket. I've dropped my phone with this case on a few occasions including one onto a sidewalk. Picked it up and despite a few scratched to the case, my phone was fine. Has already paid for itself.

I wanted the case to: - protect the screen by not being completely flat (sitting screen side down) - protect the phone - fit headphone plugs - fit the OEM charger - show the back of the S9+ It does all of this, so I give it a 5 star rating for functionality & a 3 star for the cost. Bit too expensive in my opinion.

I am known to drop my phone all the time so I brought the otterbox case because I had one before and it saved my phone many times. Only thing bad I guess about it is I wish it was a little cheaper but the case a long time so it pays for its self.

Bought it because it was on sale and I needed a new case. Gotta say that I like it more than anticipated. It’s simple but effective and I love the back. It has not glazed over and it allows you to see the beauty of your new phone.

I have dropped my phone several times but the case seems to be protecting it. Has even fallen flat on the screen with no damage (I do not have a screen protector). Easy to get the phone in and out of this case.

This is a functional case that I trust to keep my device safe. It's not pretty but I prioritize protection over looks. I at least get a clear back that I can decorate by putting pictures inside of :)

Very good case. Feels protective. Doesn't add a lot of bulk like the Defender does. About the same size as the Symmetry series case. Wrist strap is a nice feature when using the phone as a camera

I bought this case for my Galaxy S9+. Its a very sturdy case and is not bulky like some of the more heavy duty cases. Recommended!

Coming from the defender, this one is definitely different. I had the defender for the s4, and 3 for the s6, but decided to mix it up with my s9+. So far feels good, it definitely feels sturdier than the defender. And looks more secure. Dust and dirt was a big issue with the defender and it tore up my s6, hopefully that won't be an issue with this one. I don't like that there's no rubberized coating like the defender, to me it's hard to grip and I have pretty big hands. The edge round the case is very smooth. It' like rubberized plastic but it's not tacky. I was considering switching to the defender because of this reason but the pros outweigh the cons for this case. I bought the HD clear zagg screen protector, and it works very well with the case and I'd recommend th combo since otterbox decided to go with a screenless edition of the defender. It's not worth it for the defender when this one is much sturdier and proective.
