I have the internal metal plate for the magnetic mount and this case is perfect for my installation needs.

We have dropped it a few times and it has performed perfectly. The other caveat is that you can phone (still in the case) on the wireless charging station.

The first being for an 8 Plus product (RED). Of course if one has a red phone you are not going to hide it. That case saved my iPhone when I dropped it from a height of four feet. This case is for an iPhone 11 and I dropped it at work (for the record, I have dropped three phones in my 20 years of owning cel phones and only one cracked on me, an LG-20, it was not in a case at all) The iPhone survived the fall.
