The case provides perfect 360 drop protection when combined with the surface bumper, the bumper protects the edges and this case protects the exterior from damage. It is a stiff when first received so it takes some folding repeatedly to get comfortably flexible. The case is no different from a leather wallet or baseball glove in that sense. The only caveat to using this case with the bumper is due to the not flat nature of the bumper on side, the case needs to be worn in reverse to make the most of the suction tape (adhesive) in order to stick properly and consistently. The pen loop is pretty useless to anyone using the surface pen slim, but that is a non issue since the magnetic strap on the case closes both the case and secures the pen nicely on the exterior of the case. In order to make use of the 360 degree foldability (more like 330 degrees with this case) of the phone, the case needs to flat behind one side of the phone then the phone can be closed around that flattened side, this becomes more malleable as the user does it and easier over time. It is a little awkward at first but becomes second nature after a few days, only down side is one panel becomes exposed so handle with care. Otherwise I am really enjoying the case and it is a recommendation for people who want to properly secure this tech investment of 1400+ dollars.

This is a very awkward fit and poor design. The pen holder blocks the fingerprint reader and volume controls. When putting a Surface Slim Pen in the holder, the case flap will not completely close and latch properly. There's a spongy adhesive section on the right flap to hold the Duo in place--not sure how well this would stand up to removing from from case multiple times. Overall, this was a huge disappointment for an Otterbox product.

The protection of the phone is solid. To use the phone to take calls, the phone has to fold the second screen back which this case doesn’t let you. The surface pen slim does not fit well, and when using it causes difficulty closing the case securely. It uses a command or 3m like tape to stick to the phone. If you take the phone out of the case more than once the tape is no longer sticky. I ended up throwing mine away.

I needed something that would protect my surface duo and this was the only thing on the market at the time. Otterbox had a good reputation with me until I got this product. The case sticks to the surface duo on the right side of the device. Wow. The left side just flaps. The pen holder blocks all of the buttons. Forget trying to u use the surface in phone mode with this case on. The pen holder is too tight for the surface slim pen. And best buy states that it comes with and can be used with the surface duo bumper. It doesn't and can't be. This case is the worst. Thanks for noting otterbox.

ive used otterbox on almost every phone(i upgrade every year) so i had great expectations but... first things first, this isnt what you would expect for a device with a 360 hinge....because it eliminates that use. secondly you have to unstick(yes i said unstick) it for use as a phone, or a non-selfie camera. the fingerprint reader is almost unusable. the pen is almost impossible to remove. the case also wont close all the way or stay closed with bumpers on. finally its freaking expensive for not even having a belt clip......

The good: Overall, good build quality and offers great device protection. The Bad: Way too restrictive on Surface duo function and makes the ultra slim device way too bulky. So I sent this back. Decals, screen protectors and optional Bumper guards are the best alternative.

Sticks to the phone to hold so you can't take it on and off. Very clumsy and unwieldy product. You can't fold the phone back to use it as a phone with this case on it. You can't use the camera with the case on it. I had it 20 minutes and knew it needed to be returned. $75.00 should buy a case that protects your phone while making it usable not rendering it useless! I would have given zero stars if I could.

It feels like a cheap quality case from Amazon and is over priced for what I got. This case doesn't provide much protection except against scratches. I ordered a skin from Dbrand to protect from scratches and stopped using the case. Lastly, it makes the phone too bulky to carry in pockets.

It does protect your Surface Duo, but it is horrible at taking away functionality. Using your Duo to make phone calls while this is on it doesn't work unless you use a BT headset or earpiece. You can't flip the Duo 360 back to use the phone normally.

The idea is great but execution failed. The pen loop is too small for any of the Microsoft pens. None keep coming apart when I try talking the pen out. Using an adhesive to hold this phone means that you can't switch between cases or not using a case.

I give it 2 stars for style. As far as how well it holds the phone, it doesn't. The phone literally lays in the case and if you have a surface slim pen, if you shut it, you may accidently turn the phone off even the magnet even takes at all.

There are some good and bad points to this case. It's a really nice case that looks fancy and functions well as it's intended. It keeps the pen secure and fits well in the pocket. Unfortunately, it didn't protect my phone from cracking when I dropped it as the corners are still exposed and the phone is barely in the case when open. It also gets in the way when trying to take photos, and, if not installed correctly, can get in the way of the fingerprint sensor. The case does work in combination with the bumpers for great overall protection, but it's challenging to fit the bumpers AND a slim pen inside together.

this was cute but did not satisfy my needs unfortunately did not feel secure with it because I have the bumper on and the part that sticks to the phone is the part where the bulkiest part of the bumper is. I returned mine. but wish it was more secure because very cute. if I had no bumper I would love tne case.

I like it, feels good, understated, quality feel. I'm glad I read the other reviews before I installed it since it uses a sticky strip to set in place. I put it in backwards on purpose so that the pen isn't then blocking the buttons, It feels slightly awkward like opening a book upside down but I'll get used to it and in a while more vendors and even Otterbox will have more choices available and I'll upgrade.

This product ends up limiting the phone's usability and doesn't work properly with bumper as advertised

Can't open phone all the way to fold it in half with this on. It has one sticky side so once you put it on your screwed if you mess up. Still a nice case though. Bumpers don't fit in unless you flip the case so it's reverse. (the case won't stick to the right bumper.

Discover does not protect or cover the device completely and generally falls off and doesn’t close well I do not recommend it

The case is durable not very stable the tape system to hold the phone wares out and very bulky if dropped the phone can slip out of the case. As a otterbox user this is not a very well thought out case it looks like they were just trying to get something to market.

I read the reviews and took a chance knowing that I have never had any issues with Otterbox. I recently got a Surface Duo (love it) with the bump pads. Sadly it is true that the bump pads had to come off and this case honestly, is trash, just like the other review said. I returned it the next day.

Looks great but the Glue does not work and interferes with fingerprint tab
