Another great title coming from Blizzard. They really found the perfect mix of shooter and teamwork. There are a decent amount of heroes to choose from and Blizzard only plans to add more content such as maps and heroes as the community develops. I wouldn't be surprised if they add new modes as well.

    Best shooter of the year

This was the shake-up the first-person-shooter genre needed. I've had Call of Duty Multiplayer fatigue probably since Modern Warfare 3. I'm halfway decent at shooters, but that essentially means I suck in a Call of Duty lobby. In Overwatch, since you can choose from SO many different characters that all play VERY differently, even if you go up against pros, you can usually find a way to get the upper hand. Speaking of so many characters, I literally played for 5 hours last night and I never played as the same character twice. And with all of them having completely different strategies and play styles, it was a different match every time. Well done Blizzard!! 10/10!!

This is a great FPS that simply put, allows you to find your preferred niche, rather than pigeon-hole you into roles you may not excel at. Seeming as though it is the child of Team Fortress and LoL (or Dota 2 in my case), this game is fast paced, easy to pick up, and easy to learn. True mastery does take some time with the characters, but you'll very rarely feel totally overmatched by your opponents. The characters are expressive and interesting, the maps are well thought out, and the characterization is so varied, it is VERY hard to get bored. My one fear with this game is that I won't be able to stop playing!

At first glance the game seemed like a tinny version of Team Fortress 2 and I have to admit I was very skeptical of the game. Around the time of the beta, I finally got a hands on with the game and was impressed by how much personality the characters had as well as how diverse their weapons and abilities were. The final finished product has a decent number of maps and is as fun and addicting as the beta. Overall if you enjoy a team based shooter where teamwork is key then look no further. If you just want to have a fun time with friends then this game is still for you! Do yourselves a favor and buy this game!

    Great Multiplayer game

Great game if you are into competitive multiplayer. Not for a casual player. A few hiccups keep it from getting all 5 stars. First ploblem is that they often have server issues that boot players from games, and then penalize the player as if they quit. Read up on LC-202 errors for more. I generally avoid games that have no offline modes. It would be nice to use these characters in a campaign to better get a feel for them and have something to do other than the limited multiplayer skirmishes. Pros: - Fantastic multiplayer - Well balanced characters - Themed seasons - Blizzard team adding periodic content Cons: - No offline play modes - Server interruptions (see LC-202 disconnects) - No single player campaign - No casual game modes - No local co-op

I wasn't expecting much out of this game even when I played the beta, I was still left unimpressed. I still picked up the game, because it gave me something to play with my friends and wow! It grabbed me immediately and I cannot stop playing.

This is an amazing game that is worth every penny. When you first play it the game feels simple and straight forward, but the more you play it you understand the complexities. You learn the counters to each character and realize the level of depth in the game. All 21 characters have all different moves and abilities and little things such as their footsteps even have their own unique sound. Also, all dlc for new maps and characters will be free, no season pass bs. The only thing they do have is microtrans for loot boxes, which is entirely cosmetic.

I read the reviews before this game as I like more realistic FPS like Call of Duty, Halo, etc. This game looked very cartoony, but it gets the job done. It's something different. The game modes are limited, there is no story mode, its all online gameplay, but after about a year, I still haven't gotten bored. The developers try and do some special event frequently, and add characters for free! I also like the characters, they are all unique and different from each other which makes the game interesting.

I'm not a huge FPS fan, especially when there isn't a huge story involved in it...say like the Halo series. However, Overwatch is incredibly fun and filled with memorably characters...some you'll love and other you'll hate lol. It's a real multi-player team based experience though, so get a team together you know and go have a blast. Blizzard also keeps adding content that keeps the game fresh as well. It's like Team Fortress for the current gen of consoles and PC...that's definitely not a bad thing.

I loved playing Overwatch but after reaching level 25 it because apparent that this game simply doesn't have enough to keep playing. If you have a group of friends this is an excellent multiplayer experience however the upgrades are granted through randomly generated Loot Boxes that could yield the same item. The synergy of trying different hero combinations is entertaining but you'll end up playing the same 3 modes over and over again. At $60 it isn't a wise purchase, I would recommend you wait until more content is released and a price drop of $40.

This is a fun game, especially if you enjoyed games like Team Fortress. There are many different classes to choose from and the levels are varied enough to stay fresh for a while. the promise of additional characters and levels for free are also refreshing in this day of paid DLC. Plus a competitive mode that has seasons and weekly challenges round out this package. Be aware that there is no story mode as of yet, you will need to be connected to Xbox Live to play.

Pros: great fast past action Fun well balanced characters Easy to start playing Cons: Lack of different maps Not even a trace of a campaign Rewards are slow to come Gets a bit repetitive Game has fun action and great physics engine that make it a lot of fun to play. The game is also great because you get better with each character but there is no leveling like most games so you aren't at a starting disadvantage to the pro level gamers that play all the time. Only real issue is if you're someone who gets bored quickly with repetitive multi-player maps. For $60 you get what seems like 8 maps, maybe and 3 very similar game modes.

I really wanted to like this game. All my friends were playing it so I wanted in. At first it was a pretty good time, however, at the time of release, there were only 2 game modes it seemed. Attack/defend stationary points, or attack/defend a moving target. It had numerous, beautiful maps, and the character designs were fun and really well done. I love the graphics and the music. Breath taking overall, but just wasn't the game for me personally. I want to rank this game highly though because of how beautiful it is, and also because it really is a great game... just not for me.

I really wish this game would go back on sale, it's so worth it and everyone should try it at least once, then try it again. There is no campaign it is all online multiplayer but the teamwork and character backstory helps you feel like you are a big part of the action. Even if you've never played before,e it doesn't take long to get used to the controls and each character has something unique about them.
