Peace of Mind for Parents
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owlet has really become big in the baby monitoring arena in the past few years, so we decided it would be worth it to try for our newborn. We have heard great things about these and so far it has not disappointed! PROS: - Overall this is easy to set up. The unboxing was easy, app download and setup was easy, and just a very smooth process! I think any parents could figure this out which is a positive. - The sock itself is a nice material that takes some getting used to at first but it becomes easy to put on. Also the Camera has a nice build to it and I like the ability to move it around. - The biggest selling point for this is the peace of mind it provides at night! The sock monitor heartbeat, movement, time sleeping, number of times they wake up, and most importantly oxygen! It just gives you that comfort that you know the vitals on your child are good and they are sleeping well. - The App is really nice and gives a lot of features to the parents! It details out the vitals well and gives you a good amount of information to track the sleep stages and how you can work with that. - The Camera has a lot of great features as well! It has night vision as well as temperature sensing. And like many monitors, it can listen in the room as well as giving you the option to talk through the camera. CONS: - Probably my only downside is I wish the camera was not so reliant on WiFi and the App. I just think sometimes there is some lag and maybe clarity issues compared to some other cameras. That being said I do really see the benefits of having the sock and camera all under one app to monitor everything at once. BOTTOM LINE: - As a parent, you want your child to be able to sleep comfortably so that you are able to relax as well! The Owlet sock and camera really give those options to you. It does a great job tracking heart beat, movement, oxygen, sleep cycles, temperature of the room, and night vision views. I think this is well worth the investment and will help you get through those early times with your newborn!

Helps with New Parent Anxieties
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a parent of a newborn (3 Months old) I had all the new parent anxieties. Such as is he breathing? is the room too hot or cold? is he getting quality sleep? or if he stressed? etc. With that said, I was excited to see if the owlet camera and dream sock would give me some peace of mind. Overall, it did. But there were some minor annoyances. Unboxing and Setup: The owlet Dream sock and camera packaging was simple to unbox. However, the graphical depictions on the outside of the box didn’t do much to let me know exactly what was inside. What I found was one side of the box contained the camera, charger, wall mount, and a few feet of racetrack to conceal the charging cable. The other side contained one sensor and two sets of Owlet Dream Socks. One set was for babies under 12 pounds and the other set was for babies between 12 and 30 pounds. Something that was missing was a set of instructions. Luckily on the side of the box it told me what app I needed to download. After downloading the app, it prompted me to register my products and connect to the Dream sock. However, when it came to connecting the sock that is where I had an issue. I went to connect the sock and I kept getting a failed sock pairing connection issue. Fortunately, through the app I was able to talk to a “brand ambassador” which didn’t take very long. After I verified my registration, name, email, etc., the “ambassador” was able to quickly figure out my issue. Although I was prompted to connect the device, I should have been prompted to create a profile for my child first. So, if you skipped that part you may want to go back and complete it. Which brings me to my first dislike. The profile questions were invasive. It asked unnecessary questions about my child’s race and the relationship between me and my child whether he is biological, grandchild, other family or adopted. Not sure why the app needs this information. Camera: I then connected the camera, which was super easy. To connect the camera, all I had to do was scan the QR code and it was up and running in under 4 minutes. The camera video quality is top notch. The video quality was crystal clear, and it even allowed me to zoom in. When it came to the cry, sound, and motion detection. I was able to customize the notification settings to be semi sensitive or highly sensitive, and it also recorded a short video clip of the activity that was alerted on. I was also able to set up the temperature and humidity monitoring which will tell me if the room is comfortable enough or uncomfortable. However it did not provide an alert if the room was uncomfortable. Dream Sock: It charged quickly and fit well. My son is an avid kicker and I loved that the sock stayed on no matter how much he kicked. If the sock is removed, it plays a song to let me know it was disconnected. but this got a little annoying when it wouldn’t allow me to dismiss the disconnection alert. It also, seamlessly maintained a history of the baby’s vitals and sleep schedule. However, the vitals are based on an average of a 10-minute span instead of minute by minute. I liked that I was able to see how long the baby slept, the quality of his sleep and the time he spent awake, and whether it was a light or deep sleep. Also, if the sock is charging, I was able to manually put in the babies sleep data. Overall I think this is a great product if you can get past some minor annoyances.

Owlet Dream Duo Review, I love this thing.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are first time parents and getting this was so helpful with having the peace of mind at night. The app tells you how long our baby has slept, when he is in deep sleep or light, and when he wakes up! We can also monitor heart rate, oxygen levels, and are alerted if something is off or not reading correctly! You are given 4 sets of socks 2 for the right foot and 2 for the left. So it’s nice you can rotate weekly what foot you are putting the sock on, and wash the one he was wearing that previous week. When the sock is disconnected or not reading properly you are prompted by the receiver and it will light up certain colors to tell you what is wrong, and it plays a tune so you have that audio cue and visual cue to go see what needs to be adjusted or what is up with our baby boy! The set up was smooth because you just have to connect with your wifi and make sure to follow the prompts on the app all in all pretty easy to figure out!! You receive the camera and and sock and do have to set them up one at a time, but the setup was about 20 minutes with both sock and camera. The dream duo comes with wall mounting kits so we could easily mount the camera to where our baby’s crib was and monitor him during naps and night time. Another thing I love is that the base of the holder is magnetic so you can reposition the camera in any way you need and it’s secure and easy to access if you are going out of town and would need to grab it and bring it along for the weekend! The other thing I noticed was it was easy to add another child to the system, you just enter their name, weight, date of birth, and then you can have them wear the sock and record those readings, this is great when we eventually have another baby and we will want both kids to use the sock to monitor during their sleep cycles and get those patterns to better help them get sleep at night. The sock does have two different weights to it and you start off with your newborn, and go up to a toddler age kiddo! I am very happy with the owlet duo and will recommend it to friends and family in the future for their little ones and even growing kiddos!

Highly recommend for every parent!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love these products! I got both the sock and camera (Baby Duo 2) at the end of my pregnancy and we had them set up and ready to go once our baby was here. I love being able to see her heart rate in real time and the average of her O2, it also tells you when she’s in a light sleep or a deep sleep and gives you a overall report of their nap/bedtime sleep. It’s been super helpful for determining if she’s actually awake and wants to get up or if she just needs a soother and can fall back asleep so we don’t cut naps off too soon. Once she hits deep sleep at night time is when I feel most comfortable to begin a workout or take a shower and not worry about her having a false start sleep or needing binky replacement. It also takes away a lot of anxiety around constantly checking on them to see if they’re breathing and sleeping soundly when you aren’t right next to them. The camera and sock work over app regardless how far away you are and it’s helped me feel comfortable to leave baby with dad or a sitter while they nap and I can go do some errands or have me-time, I simply just check the app and calm my nerves that she’s still napping and I can take my time before coming back home.

NOT PRACTICAL!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have three kids 5, 7 and a newborn, so we have some experience as parents. When we had our third child I though the owlet would be nice to have to be able to monitor the baby’s vitals and to also keep an eye on him at night with the HD cam. But unfortunately, things did not work out too well for us with the Owlet Dream Duo. This is a great idea but not practical. So, lets go over the features, PROS and CONS on the new Owlet Dream Duo. Unboxing and Setup: In the box you will get everything you need to setup the Dream Duo. You will receive the dream sock sensor with 4 socks, the Cam 2 and the Magnetic Base, Base station, Wall mount kit and all the cables and chargers. The setup process for the Dream Sock was simple. You will need to download the Owlet Dream app and the application will guide you step by step to setup the base station and how to connect the dream sock. The base station also serves as a magnetic wireless charging base for the dream sock as well. With the sock setup, I proceeded to setup the HD cam, and this is where I ran into issues. Now, I am a pretty tech savvy guy and 99 percent of the time do not have any problems setting things up especially a baby monitor. For the life of me I could not get the camera to read the QR code provided by the app to connect the camera. I tired resetting my router, restarted the application multiple times and still could not get the camera to connect. The HD cam does not support 5 Ghz WIFI signal and since my home has a mesh WIFI setup, meaning that there is only one SSID and the device connects automatically to the best and fastest signal, my phone was connected to the 5 Ghz and the cam was connected to the 2.4Ghz. After trying everything I decided to create a separate SSID for the 2.4 Ghz and then tried the whole process again and was able to succeed. Someone should not have to go through all that just to be able to connect a baby cam. Secondly, this is a pricey system and there is no monitor included with this, and you will have to use your phone and the base station for monitoring. The app does tell you if the baby is still, wiggling or active and provide you information such as how long the baby slept, the heart rate and room temperature and you receive notifications on your phone for sound, and motion. I like the ability to check on my kid from anywhere, but what I don’t like is not having a dedicated monitor to be able to view at any time in my own home. I have never been a fan of not having a dedicated monitor, because then I would have to dedicate either a phone or tablet for live viewing. Also, my other baby monitor which was probably about half the price of the Dream Duo came with two 4K camera with sound, motion and temperature detection and alerts and a monitor that I can keep powered on all the time and provides remote viewing from anywhere. Yes, it does not provide me information such as heart rate or the O2 monitor, but I can see everything on the monitor, when my baby is moving around or sleeping and even in the middle of the night, I can just look at my monitor and know that my baby is sleeping or awake. I do not have to open any app or click on any alert for viewing. On top of that the Cam 2 only provides a 1080p resolution. PROS: ABILITY TRACK HOW LONG YOUR BABY SLEPT ABILIY TO MONITOR THE HREAT RATE AND MONITOR O2 LEVELS CONS: MONITOR NOT INCLUDED – WILL HAVE TO USE YOUR OWN PHONE OR TABLET THE CAMERA IS NOT THE EASIEST TO SETUP 1080P RESOLUTION Overall, I think this is a really good idea, but it can be improved upon. I love the ability to track how long my child slept for and check for any abnormalities in the sleep pattern, but I want a dedicated device to show me all that information. Also, depending on the package you choose the application should be able to guide you on setting up both devices at once and not go back and forth to setup the camera separately. I also believe the camera resolution can be improved upon as well to offer at least 2K resolution, because most phones now are able to support that. As it stands right now, this product is not very practical, so I cannot recommend this product.

The best thing for our baby…. 99% of the time
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product is amazing and gives my family peace of mind. Set up was easy and the app is great. The app also has some great features like tips for the baby, notifications for the camera based on motion and sound. My only complaint is (rarely) the video has a delay loading and I required me to close the app multiple times to get it to work. By that time I was already in the room. This has happened twice within a three week timeframe. I’m sure with an update to the app, this would be fix.

Good peace of mind for night time.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am really happy with the Owlet combo. It gives me good insight as to how my baby is sleeping throughout the night. It also gives me some peace of mind knowing this helps monitor several key indicators of my baby. The sock can sometimes be pushed off by the babies movement, but if you put it on snug enough it will stay in place.

Peace of Mind
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The owlet dream sock has helped give us peace of mind so we can sleep. Getting the sock on wrong will result in lots of alarms going off but to me it was reassurance that it'll pick up on anything. Once you get a routine down of atraching it properly it's great. The app is pretty helpful in giving sleep cycle feedback. It's interesting to look at but overall we mainly use it for its sleep monitoring function.

Great once I got it all connected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once I got it set up, it worked great and gives my wife and I peace of mind. I had a heck of a time getting the base to connect to the phone app over WiFi. I found no answers on the Owlet support site that helped - however there were many guides and forums for similar connectivity issues. It was likely a rare problem as my home networking is a bit more complicated than most.
