Pan tilt without power cable!

Cant get it to work on a solar panel so bought one power cord and nope didn't work now buying another power cord to hook one to pan tilt and one to camera. Maybe i can finally get it to work. Ugh!!!

I have them all over my house and use it for motion and the doorbell. It’s also fun catching funny things happening when you might not have been recording!

Ring app does not perform automatic camera focus and tracking. With wide angle performance on the ring cameras, you are better off buying two camera back to back rather than have just one camera with the pan and tilt.

The Pan and Tilt feature is an invaluable feature of the Ring Pan-Tilt Mount that allows you to have a wider viewing range and see more of what is happening at your home. We would like to ensure you are getting the most from your device.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. The Pan-Tilt Mount is designed with 360° pan coverage and 117° tilt coverage. We have included the instructions for using the Pan-Tilt feature here:
In Live View, tap Rotate then use the horizontal and vertical motion control arrows to pan or tilt your camera.
Tap and hold an arrow to move your camera until you lift your finger or the camera reaches the end of its coverage range.
Tap an arrow once to move the camera in smaller increments.

Works good now I can move the cameras

Nor does Best Buy have it for sale!!! So I had to go to the ring site and purchase a power adapter for $50 more. It shows one in the picture - but upon closer reading (after arrival of unit) you can see that the adapter is optional - how else are you supposed to run it? Also really frustrating that Best Buy does not carry this item.

Seeing it on Best Buy's site, i thought it would be a great addition to my security features. Note - the various images you see of it, shows a cord to keep the functionality operational. But when I got it, I got the mount and NO CORD!! to add insult to injury, Best Buy doesn't sell the cord you need for the device to work as designed. And even buying the stick up cam only comes with a charging cord to charge its battery. No cord for use with the pan tilt mount, even though the mount will only work with that camera. And to buy the cord is another $18 plus tax and shipping if you don't buy to meet the shipping minimum. Really??! When everything I needed for just one set up cost $160?!? So where is mine now? Back at the store along with the camera.

No way to charge pan tilt mount

Posted .Hi Maria, I definitely understand wanting to ensure your devices are adequately powered. The Pan-Tilt Mount doesn't need to be charged. To power your Stick Up Cam while installed in the Pan-Tilt Mount, you'll need to use the power adapter included with the Camera. You can find the barrel plug power adapter for the Stick Up Cam Plug-In here https://ring.com/products/indoor-outdoor-power-adapter-barrel-plug.
