This is a good surge protector for the money. It is a quality brand being a Panamax. Worth the small investment to protect your toys!

When you spend a lot of money on a TV, you want to protect it, right? That's why we bought this. Last night we had a power surge just before the electric went out. This may have saved our TV and all the accessories that are attached to it! We know it burned out light bulbs!

This is a good surge protector if you can get it on sale which I did. (Half off) Keeps the cables look neat and protects all of my electronics investment. The only bad thing I would say is the “turn on” light is too bright at night. I literally have to put something in front of it so it wouldn’t bother me when going to sleep. Other than that it meets my needs.

I originally bought one of these for our bedroom TV, Roku, powered antenna, etc. After installing, I noticed an improvement in picture quality and sound quality. Recently had a close lightning strike and the surge protector shut the system down, then brought it back in a matter of seconds, just like the description said it would. Too bad I didn't have a Panamax hooked up in my den. It fried my TV. Bought a new one and of course bought another Panamax to plug it into. I'm sold on this product and highly recommend it!

This is my 2nd Panamax Power Conditioner. The first one (M5400-PM) manages my primary setup: RX-Z11, 360, PS3, XB1, 5-port switch, cooling fan & 1TB drive. The MR-4000 manages the VT-50 and two subs. This is the second time I purchased this item from Bestbuy. Item is extremely easy to set up, and having the outlets on the same level as the majority of my AV gear really tidied up the back of my AV cabinet. Surge protector is well built, and I have zero issues with it. Regular price on this is pretty steep, so wait for a sale if possible. I would not hesitate to purchase again if needed.

Recommended at the store and since I was buying a new TV and Xbox, and it was on sale for Black Friday, picked it up. Serves it's purpose, lots of slots.

After having our home hit by lightning and loosing almost everything that can plug into a wall , this outlet surge protecter is a must. All of my audio/visual equipment is now protected by it. So far "no news is good news"..

Needed more outlets and surge protection for my home theater. No issues so far. The front panel lights are too bright. I have not been able to turn off or dim the white light. The blue lighting can be turned off.

I have had issues in he past with power surges damaging my electronics. This is great for diverting surges away from my electronics and they guarantee the product and will pay if the product is at fault for any damage.

After my home was struck by lightning, it was recommended to purchase a panamax surge protector. I've had some power surges in the since, but I have been protected. Good protection for your AV equipment.

The VBox purchase I was unsure about at first but after we did, I recommend it. The sound is awesome and I can turn down background noises and able to hear the characters so much better than before.

Getting a new 4K TV meant also getting a new 4K Receiver. No regrets so far! Our sound system at home makes it seem were at a movie theater. Pretty satisfied so far with quality

This is the best surge protector you can purchase! It protects our new Sony TV but more importantly it protects our Revel speaker system as well as the our Rotel tuner and Rotel amplfier. The Geek Squad reinforced my comments above. Don't forget about protecting your entire viewing and sound system!

Anytime you are spending more than just a couple hundred bucks on a TV or major entertainment system it's good to protect it. This looks great and protects my entertainment setup.

In upgrading your home theater it is necessary to get the best possible protection you can get. That’s the reason I chose a Panamax to protect my system.

Got this Panamax MR4000 for the Black Friday sale at Best Buy. I am currently using it in my living room, but it's already paid itself off. There are two indicator lights which let you know if there are any wiring issues with the wall outlet you are using. To my surprise after unboxing and plugging in the unit, one of the red wiring fault indicators turned on and the unit itself would not power on. Upon further inspection, the wall outlet was wired incorrectly by the apartment maintenance team where the Hot and Neutral wires were wired incorrectly! I like the addition of the outlet on the front of the unit, it lets me plug in anything on a moments notice, such as a laptop power brick or phone charger, or if a friend brings a game console over. I did deduct one start due to my single dislike with the unit: the power button on the far left hand side feels a bit mushy and is flush with front of the unit, you have to press it in a substantial amount before the switch engages and turns the unit on/off. I do like the ability to also turn off the blue accent lights. While not very bright to begin with, they may be distracting during movie watching when the lights are off. As for the performance of the unit: I have my LG OLED 55E8 hooked up, along with a Roku, Nintendo Switch, HRPC, and a network switch. Before having this unit powering on my oled tv would cause my living room lamp to momentarily dim, this has since corrected that. We also had one short brownout and subsequent power outage when we had a snowstorm recently. The unit worked as expected and shutdown during the brownout to protect my electronics! Overall, I am generally satisfied with the Panamax MR4000 and would recommend it over a generic power strip which offers far less protection!
