Purchased this microwave as a Christmas gift for my parents. They had a much older microwave that did not have the power of this model, as older microwaves more powerful than theirs were also bigger In size. This one was perfect! It is smaller than a lot of the microwaves, which is great if you have a small area to work with, as in my case. However, the inside space is very roomy for the size. The power level is much better and the indicator screen is easy to read. It is easy to figure out, another plus for those of us who are techno-challenged. It was a hit with my parents, who are in their 80's. A very good choice for seniors, and anyone working with a small kitchen.

So far it's been about 30 days and all has been fine. Door opens perfectly, so, the issues everyone describes may have finally been resolved...Too early to tell. It seems a bit slower to heat up beverages than my older Micro but I really like the sensor reheat feature. Has done a perfect job at reheating foods to the right temp with no cold spots or overcooking...But...I have not had enough time to really give this a workout yet. The only Real BUMMER at this point is the lack of a light once the door is opened. So I knocked off a star for that! Smarten up Panasonic...you have been making these for some time and should know by know what people want....A .50cent microswitch would be all it takes

For my purposes, this unit performs well. I is more powerful than the similarly sized unit that it replaces, so caution is advised in the early going with it. As other reviews mentioned, the light does not come on when it isn't cooking and I consider this a significant oversight, but it does not outweigh the pluses. And, my research at the time showed Best Buy to be the best price, with free shipping!

Had a Panasonic before and loved it but I needed a white countertop because I dislike over range microwaves (dangerous for kids, spilling into your eyes, etc. etc). Best Buy has the best selection of microwave models. They are great. This model is small footprint, easy to use, a bit noisy, have to make sure it doesn't overcook compared to other models. Panasonic scores. I've had it two months and it is great.

Great microwave at a great price! I purchased another brand microwave after my old one died and totally hated it. So I researched this make and model and it had good reviews. I'm so glad I bought it...it is wonderful! Door is soft/quiet opening and closing. The microwave itself is a little loud, but it's quieter than my old one. The only negative I have about this model is that the light doesn't come on inside the unit when you are loading/unloading, it's only on when it's running. Thing I like most is that you can enter any amount of time you like i.e. 77 seconds. If you want a good microwave at an excellent price then go no further than this Panasonic.

We have been using this microwave for a couple of months now and we love it! I have not had any problems defrosting things. One a small issue was thawing cooked food in a plastic bag. It was my fault though, I forgot to open the bag. Other than that it has been great. I've fixed a mug cake just the other day, I had to lower the cook time to 45 seconds on high instead of the 2 minutes that my old microwave took. When cooking at a lower power level, I have to remember to set the power level first then the time. Every microwave I've ever used before has been set time, then power level. A minor thing to get used to. This is far above an ordinary microwave. The power stays the same throughout the cooking or defrosting process, no more raising and lowering the power. I have not had any hot spots with frozen spots when thawing meat, like I had with other microwaves. My frozen meals heat evenly. The only thing I haven't cooked yet is microwave popcorn. I don't expect any difficulties though. As far as size goes, it fits my counter perfectly! Love it!

It's really great product for the small kitchen space with counter top need. Works great with taking lot less time to warm your food. Wish they put light when you open the door. But light stay on when it's running. Overall it's great product for the price.

The microwave has lots of good cooking options. It cooks evenly and I haven't had any problems with temperature, heating, etc. It is a bit louder (during the cooking/heating process) than other microwaves I've had, but I've gotten used to it.

I love the size, color and performance but the setting and complete cycle beeps are extremely loud. Another plus is the large turntable but the ring it sets on is flimsy. There is no light when you open the door which makes things tough to see.

Replacement for our last Panasonic, which lasted several years. Main differences: 1) large push button to open the door, rather than a pull handle, perhaps safer but more parts to wear out; 2) light only comes on during operation. Enough volume for whatever needs heating, turntable accommodates larger plates and frozen food packaging; exterior dimensions are small enough to fit the microwave on small counter spaces. 1200 watts has proved to be sufficient power when following cooking instructions. Controls are straightforward and useful, no gimmicks. Bright LCD readout, no need to pay extra for LED. Door opens slightly more than 90 degrees, okay access.

Purchased this micro due to older version of it has a door which is hard to close making it LOUD! The one in store was much easier & quieter to close. Oh well. At least it is not as hard to close door of this one or as loud as other one when close, as yet. STILL, one in store very easy to close .

This is the third microwave I had had from this series since 2004. They have not lasted very long (the bottom rusted out of the one that this is replacing) but they are very easy to use, have many nice features and cook evenly.

I bought this because I needed a microwave to sit on a counter. It works amazingly well! It cooks and heats evenly. This microwave has all the features I wanted and was easy to figure out. The only drawback? It is but loud . Other than that, I would have certainly given it 5 stars.

I've only been using it for a few weeks and I love it. The size of this microwave is perfect for me. There are only two of us and I mostly reheat things rather than lots of actual cooking. It seems to heat things all the way through, evenly and quickly. Plenty of power. I like the black color. It looks great in my kitchen

Have had this for about a month now and can't find a thing about it that I don't like. We upgraded from a small 550 watt to this 1100 watt when we moved to a larger place and have NO regrets at all !!!!!!!! It's easy to use, has many features our smaller one didn't have - this can do SO much that our old one couldn't even think of doing

I bought this model to replace my GE. It heats food very quickly and warms the food through out. The only thing I would change about it is for it to have a light when you open the door. The light would make cleaning so much easier.

This microwave works good, but there are several things I don't like. First, as other reviews have noted, it is noisy. Sometimes it really does sound like an airplane as another person said. Second, the light going on only after the door is closed is inconvenient. I read about it in others' reviews, but didn't think it would bother me. It does. Third, the glass turntable is a little unstable, so each time I wipe it clean, it comes off the center holder and I have to slide it back onto the holder. I've never had this problem with another microwave. Finally, again as others have already said, the display is difficult to read unless the user is directly in front of it and eye level with it. The keypad works well and it cooks well. Now I just have to worry if it will break too soon as some other reviewers noted.

My microwave heats up beautifully with it's rotating turn table and it is easy to clean. I would purchase this brand again for sure!

This unit is a great choice of the limited selection of countertop microwaves available these days. Powerful, roomy, carousel and priced well. Fits the kitchen cabinet shelf that is dedicated for a microwave perfectly so installation was a breeze! Worked great right out of the box and is user friendly. Wish is was available in off white.
