We needed a tv for the spot over the fireplace. Our contractor told me not to buy less than 50". I wasn't convinced we needed one that large but thankfully this Panasonic is perfect. The picture is great. Controls easy to manipulate. Great tv.

Purchased for the living room, because of the pric, I wasn't looking for a mind blowing picture, but I have to say I'm very impressed. I also have a 2014/2015 Samsung 60" in my room. Spent quite a bit more for a near perfect picture, and they really aren't much different! Either way, for the price, it's much bang for the buck.

I caught this lovely TV on sale for 399.99, so how could I resist?! It's incredibly clear, easy to setup, and not to heavy. If it isn't clear for you dont blame the TV, it's the cable. I tried it on my digital hd antenna before my comcast was set up and it was CRYSTAL clear. Once my cable was set up, it was not as clear (cables fault), but having the size is great! Whenever there's a big game or something that I want to watch in better definition, i swith from my cable to my antenna oddly enough! Great buy, and good brand!

Let me start by stating this was a purchase for my daughter as she moved out of the house and into her first apartment. I have been tracking this particular model line from Panasonic for a while and often thought it would be the right one for myself when it comes time to replace my existing television. I've seen the television in action myself at her apartment and I was very, very pleased with the purchase. The picture quality was, to my eyes, incredible. Much better than I believed possible at a $399 price point (was on sale). And unlike my parents older Panasonic plasma television the speakers didn't totally suck. My daughter has done nothing but rave about the television. According to her it was a breeze to set up (out of the box, put together, and up and running in 15 minutes). The remote is good. I quote, "I am more than happy with it! With the quality and price, I feel like we stole it." She may not be a tech/gear head like me, but she knows what she likes and apparently this purchase, guided by dad, was spot-on.

This set is a phenomenal value fora 50" 1080p set. It's not smart (good), it doesn't try to upconvert the frame rate (60 Hz is just fine). Any time a set is has some "smarts" built in, it'll be obsolete within a year or two. The manufacturer can only support and update older sets for so long, before it's too impractical for them, and the user. The "smarts" are better kept in a detachable box (e.g. Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, etc.). People seem to go gaga over higher frame rates, but to me, it just looks artificial. It may be great for sports, but everything else, it's really a detractor. The slim bezel on this set is very subtle. It really makes the picture pop, compared to a set from a few years ago. Picture quality is great, I'm sure it can be better, but for the price, it's great. Panasonic has always made good quality and well priced products. I'm not brand loyal, but Panasonic has always provided good reliability and good pricing.

I have always been a loyal Panasonic brand customer. We purchased this TV for a couple of different reasons but mainly for price point and picture quality. I have tried other sets and they just don't hold up to what these sets deliver.

Seriously, for that price this TV is awesome. Great bright colors and deep dark colors where needed, this TV looks good anytime. Great for gaming and video calls, high def videos look crisp. Sound is weak, so if you are planning to buy this TV, make sure you have a decent 5.1 sound system or better. I use Samsung DA E 751 (because its my bedroom TV), and it sounds amazing. Great product.

I bought this set for my Mother, and everyone who visits her. She had another set that was smaller and had lower resolution. This set is 1080p, has a bright clear picture and fits the space she has for it. It is a thin and light set for the size. The only caveat is this set lacks the "smart" features other set have at this and higher price points. My mother uses a Roku for Netflix, so this was not a big deal.

The tv has spectacular picture. the boarders are very thin and the base is very sturdy. The only issue that i have with it is that there is no vga port, there are only two hdmi outlets, and there is no audio out with rca cables. other than those issues the tv is amazing

I purchased this TV on a Black Friday ( actually Thursday) "stand in line for hours " Sale. Very Happy with it. it was very light to carry, had to buy extra cables/ adapter to make video game system work through stereo. Picture is great, I am not a big TV specs kinda guy. don't need all the bells and whistles. This set gives me everything I was hoping to get and at an incredible price

This TV is large and has a great price point. Not too expensive, and it seems well designed with good aesthetics. However, the out of box picture is wanting. You will have to adjust the picture for your room. This is normal on just about all TV's nowadays, but the menus and number of calibrations for this tv are lacking. You can adjust the normal stuff, contrast, tint, color and brightness. But you do not have a complete menu to get to any of the advanced settings. As a result, you have to really tinker with what you have to get the best picture. Another alternative is to pay Best Buy for calibration. But it was an economical purchase and I didn't want to do that. I'm good at calibrating to close to THX settings on my own, but this tv is a lot harder to do than some of the LG and Samsung sets I have owned, which have expanded calibration menus. But other than calibration difficulties, the final result is a very decent picture and I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Was able to get this on the Black Friday sale for $199 and is easily worth much more. I love the base and the sleek and slim design while at the same time it has decent quality. It runs nice and cool and has a great picture. The only down side is the volume doesn't get as loud as I would like but I can't complain.

Colors aren't as bright and vibrant as as I'd like and wish there were 3 HDMI ports instead of the 2. I have seen plenty of 120hz tv's and the first thing my friends and I do is turn off clear motion so that fact this TV only running 60hz is not a negative. Overall I am not disappointed in this purchase what so ever.

was concerned at first because it was one of the cheaper 50" tvs but it looks great and sits nicely. the sound is really nice and i like the size.

Excellent quality at a low price. Very sleek, slim, and lightweight. Surprisingly I was easily able to carry it home and set it up quickly by myself. All I needed was a screwdriver. Picture and sound are great. It was definitely worth it to upgrade. Wow, I'm totally impressed.

this tv replaced my 32'' dynex 720 pixel tv. hook- up and set -up was a breeze. the picture on the tv was excellent. this was an excellent choice and operation is very easy.awesome tv!

For what I paid I am amazed at the quality of this TV! the picture size options could be better and the color is a bit difficult to get just right but those are only minor issues. I'd highly recommend this unit for those moving up from a smaller TV

MORE than satisfied with this purchase. Easily set up, excellent picture and sound quality. In fact, do not even need a sound bar and we're both hard of hearing. Once taken out of box, thought we had bought too large a TV, but after setting up, is perfect for our den. Can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this Panasonic.
