We have a separate answering machine and caller ID, so we did not need or want those features bulit into the phone to add further complexity. This has numerous slots to store frequently called numbers so you just have to push one button to dial. You must follow the steps EXACTLY to get the numbers stored in memory, but once they are in there, the directions can be filed away for good. It has speaker phone ability, mute, and hold functions which are helpful options, although not essential. This phone replaced a previous generation very similar Panasonic model and that one lasted about 15 or 20 years. If this one lasts anywhere near that long it would be ideal.

So far, am pleased with the performance and the quality. Given the presence of the display screen, it would have been nice if the built-in caller id capability had been included. Speakerphone part is clearer than most - both for caller and listener than most phones I've used.

It works great for the price, but it could be improved. I don't think it was made with the best material.

Like all other Panasonic phones I have owned, it is a winner.

after about 30 days the phone microphone stoped working in both the hand set and if you plug a external headset into it.
