I am a YouTuber and I got this to film videos ... My camera is usually a foot or so from my head while I am filming. The quality of the video visually is good..... the audio STINKS! I have to use a wireless mic or you cannot hear me

Very nice CC for the price. Love the ability to control with smartphone. Used it on vacation thru Rocky Mtns and car races at Road America. Just wish the 4K version was priced so nice.

This was a replacement for a similar model which stopped working all of a sudden. This version feels much cheaper given that more parts are plastic on this model. That said, it has a lighter weight feel to it and has the bonus Wi-Fi features -- and was less expensive than the older model. The quality of video is great as with our last Panasonic. Video transfer is also a similar process. I would recommend an extra battery and battery charger with this video camera. It's always good to have an extra battery handy, and using an external charger is more convenient than hooking the cord up to the camera. In my last camera, the charger was included (not the extra battery). this time around it's a separate purchase.

I wanted to film my son's hockey games for the team and looked at several camcorders and read about filming hockey from whatever online articles and forums I could find. The Panasonic 770 was suggested as a good camera for hockey as it has an action setting and performs well in low light situations. I've filmed several games in various arenas and they all have come out quite well. The forums also steered me away from the 4k cameras due to the amount to data storage needed, and I quickly realized that filming at 720 was enough. My only complaint is the MP4 codec used by the camcorder. I made the assumption that it was H264 and would be compatible with most devices, and that was wrong. I have to use a converter like Handbrake to convert to H264 in order to share and work with most devices and smart tvs.

Nice compact camcorder with 4K recording. Very easy to use, controls are easily located, and once you understand the menu, it is a breeze. Picture quality is also very good too, especially in low light.

I purchased this camcorder to video various meetings and events for a senior community home owners association. So while I knew of the more expensive 4K model, this 1080p version is very adequate for my needs. The on-line users manual is very detailed and I recommend that users read it to become acquainted with the camera's various features and settings. After reading the manual I found the camera very easy to use. The video quality on playback in 1080/60p is excellent. And, although the camera's internal microphone is adequate, I found that the use of an external microphone plugged into the camera resulted in much better quality audio on playback. However, if the camera is plugged into AC while recording, there is a noticeable hum or buzz -- so be sure to have a battery with enough recordable time for your event so you don't have to rely on AC -- in my case 1+ hour meetings. I was a little disappointed that Best Buy did not have, and could not order additional batteries for the camcorder, but that may have been because I made my purchase close to Christmas. Nevertheless, I was very pleased with the assistance the Best Buy sales associate provided me in selecting the product. I have yet to explore and use the many features that the camcorder offers, but so far all in all, I'm very please with the quality, value, and ease of use of this camcorder. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

... don't let the size fool ya! This camera is great. I went from a Sony camcorder which was horrible in low light settings (loved everything else about the Sony ) to this camcorder and I couldn't be happier. It's compact, works ....well in low light, pretty durable as is been to many a basketball n football games! Videos are clear.

We used this camcorder purchased from Best Buy as one of our "A" roll to record a musical production (4 cams). This camcorder has a beautiful image. Low light shooting has very little noise. The sound is very good. The screen and size is a bit small and the front scrolling button which calls up manual settings and adjusts manual focus and gain/aperture is completely in the wrong place. The biggest issue (we unfortunately just found out) is the camera "drifts" after you stop panning (tripod). It doesn't matter if you pan fast or slow, when the pan stops the image drifts back in the opposite direction a few degrees and completely ruins the shot (you have to cut to another angle in post production so it can't be seen). Turning off the OIS has no effect. If you don't pan this camera is a great addition and produces a pro result with proper grading. If you do pan (on a tripod) AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Now an honest review about our Best Buy experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS: We purchased this camera used but it was sold by Best Buy as "Excellent+" condition, was boxed and contained everything including an unopened manual which was great. We purchased about a week (+/-) before our (paid) shoot to make sure everything functioned properly to avoid any surprises (turned it on, recorded files to the card, turned off, battery worked, power cord worked...) and all (hardware) worked fine. The weekend of the shoot we were shocked about the panning issue mentioned above and realized we could not use this for any further jobs. Our shoot spanned over the weekend and ended Sunday (yesterday) so the next day (today) we contacted BestBuy for a return. BestBuy refused to accept the return because it was literally 10 HOURS past the return date which was 15 days. We explained that we could not have possibly returned it because we shot with it over the weekend with it which is when we discovered the issue/defect(?). We called as soon as humanly possible when then opened the next day (today Monday) and explained the situation. After politely and repeatedly explaining our circumstance to them and speaking with the "supervisor" they said "NO it's 10 hours over the 15 days. It's our policy". We ended by saying it wasn't thought through (by them). Actually what we said rhymed with "Ducks Moo". BestBuy has all of these "exceptions" they expect customers to respect such as "your delivery might be delayed" for 1 or two days, but when there is an extenuating circumstance and a customer may be 1 or 2 days late in returning something they just can't be held to the same standard? To any company who doesn't hold themselves to the standards expected of their customers; GFY sideways! DON'T BUY from BESTBUY. Buy somewhere else!

Easy camera to use without adjustment. Don't know how the battery life compares to other camcorders but seems too short for my satisfaction. I find that the sound quality of the on-camera mic has too much echo and tends to pick up background noise too much.

We purchased this camcorder to video tape our grandchildren at Kids Camp. It worked great inside and out, was easy to use, light weight and download on to our computer. Because we are older the only thing we wish was different was the size of the screen. We could have used the screen to be alittle larger, especially for my husbands large fingers. Other than that, we are very pleased with our purchase.

Great camera the visual is amazing the zoom is great. I use it for everything a day hanging with the family or a soccer game. I also got the tripod suggested to go with it and I love it! The camera is so compact and easy to take anywhere. Was able to view on tv over the WiFi very easy to use.

I'm Very Happy with the Panasonic HC-V770 HD Camcorder I got it took me a while to figure out it Work but i figured it all out pretty fast and I'm very Happy with the Video Quality of this Camcorder and the Recorded time I'd Recommend it for any one who doesn't want to pay to much for a Video Camcorder.

Awesome cam corder that can also take still photos. Easy to use with multiple features. Great mid ranged priced camera that can handle all needs and lightweight. Very Happy with this purchase!

I did a lot of research before purchasing. I also talked to friends that owned camcorders. This was one of the best options I found shy of spending more money and jumping up to a 4k cam.

I bought this camera open box at Good condition. I expected non-essential accessories to be missing and for it not to be in original packaging. I was surprised to find that the battery was missing, something that is definitely essential to the operation of the camera. The customer support team at the branch did not help me at all with compensating for something that is not my fault and that I drove an hour for. I still bought the camera and I hope it functions well once I buy the batteries, but the customer service was definitely lacking in this surprising circumstance.

I LOVE this camcorder. so easy to use, takes up little room in my bag, light weight. Used it almost everyday on our Rocky Mountaineer Train trip.

this is my second camcorder, it fits my needs. Clear video and turns on when i open the door, I use these for work everyday, The first one, the bottom broke out from me over tighten the cam to the monopod after almost two years and 6000 hours of use. The original battery could be better but there is after market one that excel well. if someone was to asked you will be about two hours of video time if you started and didn't shut it off on the original battery if that makes sence.

Was extremely easy to use and was able to start filming youth football games immediately. The quality of the videos are incredible even from the 50 yard line high up in the bleachers. There are many features I haven't even tried yet, but this camera has already exceeded my expectations.
