I bought this one because I need 4K and I've owned two other Panasonic blu-ray players, one of which only started to give out after ten years of use. I didn't realize this model lacked a screen, so that's my bad. But there are a few other things that are inferior compared to my DMP-BDT460 that just put me off. The interface is very plain and feels like a step down. There's an annoying power save/sleep timer that shuts the unit off after a period of inactivity, like if you leave something paused too long, that you can't turn off. This device can't play the same hard drive files that the old one did, and it will play some but not others of files it is supposed to play. (All stuff that used to play on the old player.) Most annoying of all, this device does not have Vudu or Google Play, only Amazon and Netflix. Panasonic's app store is very strange. I can get Russian TV if I want, yay, but not Vudu which was available on the old player. Luckily my new TV is Android based and I can get it there, but that's a major disappointment that they took Vudu away. Discs look great, I can't say anything bad there. The unit has a fan, that's a plus since I know a lot of players leave it out to save money. I bought this to be a combination player/streamer, though, so I don't feel completely satisfied with the purchase.

The 4-K player has experienced no disc viewing opportunities and the only negative feedback I would offer is that it does not have the ability to connect to the Internet wirelessly.

It wouldn't play home recorded DVDs. It was hard to figure out settings with little instruction included in the box. I recorded the DVD to an external hard drive and connected it by USB. That worked. I'm average tech-savvy so it could be me, but I was disappointed with the lack of instructions. I thought about returning it, but didn't. I still use it occasionally.

Solid 4k player if you dont need streaming services. It can do limited streaming services but I bought it mainly for the 4k bluray and dts audio. Works perfect for that.

Best paired with the Samsung QLEDS which was the main reason I purchased this one over the Sony that was available. Nice features also included with streaming apps, etc.

Control is NOT well designed, it has a random ‘netflix’ button in the middle which causes to be hit by mistake. Also, it never worked properly, not sure if I got a bad unit, but it wouldn’t work, every time the movie was going to start, dvd made an awful sound and it would jump back to the main menu.

Got this to replace an older Panasonic Blu-ray player, so far it has been good with no issues, it also has performed nicely with loading the discs faster considering it should have a faster chip in it.

I love this little thing. one thing one of the questions pointed out is that its new tech. No RCA cables (Red,Blue, Yellow ports), HDMI cable for those of you upgrading keep this in mind.

This is a great 4k player. Perfect for Samsung TV's since they only use HDR and not Dolby vision. It loads very fast and easy set up

Bought this for future proofing. Buying a 4K TV next year so I haven't been able to fully test, but I will always trust Panasonic and wish they still sold TVs in the US.

I love this blu-ray player. I wanted a mid-range 4k blu ray player that was affordable and this one is so much quieter and faster-loading than a gaming console.

I researched and researched all the Blu-ray players and decided on this one. I have had Panasonic products for decades and have never been disappointed. Not only that, Best Buy had an amazing price on this one.

This unit had a particularly good price, and replaced an older, poorly functioning one.

First of all have had no problems playing discs. The biggest issue is there is no dedicated menu button on the remote. There is a top menu button which does not work on most discs. I believe it will go to the menu when you first put a disc in, but the problem comes when playing a tv series with multiple shows on a disc. After watching a show you have to go to options then to menu. The menu button is one of the most used buttons on a remote and this player does not have that. Just what is called a top menu button. As I said there is a top menu button, but it does absolutely nothing. I have never found a disc where a top menu button worked. Also when fast forwarding or rewinding, there is no line to indicate where you are in the show. Just basic things that every player I have ever owned had, and this company decides, nope not gonna have that. Should of took it back to the store when I had a chance.

I am a long time BB customer and decided to buy an Open Box version of this that Best Buy claimed was excellent condition and this review is about this Open Box version. Received today box looks like someone left it in the rain and was taped everywhere with Best Buy labelled tape and this box was in a normal cardboard box that had no damage.. Opened it up and Player was in nearly as bad of shape. Dents in the side scratches along the front and top and full of dust, like someone had used it for several years then decided to trade in. Then I plugged it in and the tray would not open. When I took off the top, the whole drive assembly was detached/broken from the case like someone took it apart then forced it back into place to try and get it to fit or the dent in the side was they dropped it and it cracked the drive assembly off. I was able to place it correctly by hand and the tray now opens and closes but I haven't permanently attached it cause the plastic is broken where it screwed in. On a positive note now that the tray opens/closes, so far it has recognized every DVD, BluRay and 4K disc I put in, including burned BluRays and DVDs. So the player seems fine now that I have made fixes. But is no way excellent condition like BB claimed.

Product was very nice and easy to install. I am very well pleased by it and would only change it for a Multiple DVD player that holds more videos in a tray for fast movie viewing.
