not that good , fails on many sound code out in the market compare to other branches like LPCM video files doesn't play on it panasonic has really fail on that part

Was working well until it wont read the dvds now. 7 months and something wrong.

The worst 4K player. Constantly skips and freezes while playing 4K movies. I thought I did enough research but I guess not. I bought this player to put in a movie room as I did not want to move my Xbox one or series x. Both Xbox consoles play my 4k movies great. This Panasonic player is so sporadic if it will play or contestantly skip and freeze. Avoid

Panasonic UB420-k had it for 2wks problem it freezes after using it for a few hrs or a couple of dvd disc
My blu ray disc are in great shape no blemishes scratches
or stains

Not worth the price. After 6 months it started acting up and wouldn't play blu-ray dvds, and with it being wired to my wifi box the internet and user interactions legs bad. Im praying the 1yr manufacturer warranty holds up at least.

Plays every disk I have with no issues. The 3d ability was something I been looking for to go with my 3d tv

Disappointed that one of your Total Tech Support reps was unable to walk me through over the phone setting up my remote as a universal for adding a DVD player but had to set up a service appointment to have a tech come down and set it up for me. I ultimately cancelled the call as I felt it wasn't worth your tech coming out just to resolve a setup of a Universal remote.
We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the support. When programming another manufactures remote control, that company/manufacture would need to provide you with the codes for Panasonic products. We would not be able to provide you codes, nor tell you if the other manufactures remote control will work, We suggest that you contact the company/manufacture of the remote control for further assistance.

Panasonic must be having some serious QA issues. Started the initial set up. Tried to update the firmware, and immediately, I had a rapidly flashing red light indicating that it could not start up.
I decided to return the unit, and buy a similarly priced SONY.
Thank you for the review! When you select to update the firmware, the unit shows the firmware download progress on the TV screen for approx. 6:30 minutes. After the firmware is downloaded on the unit, the unit starts updating the firmware. This process takes about another 6:30 minutes. During this time there is no display on the TV and the unit shows a RED LED blinking rapidly. This is not a malfunction it will take approx. 13 minutes in total to download and update the firmware. After the firmware is updated, the unit displays the Home screen on the TV. I purchased this item and had it delivered to my home, product was defective, I took the blu ray player back to Monroe street location in Toledo today, and they gave me a replacement, this blu ray player is defective also, please pick it up at my home am not going back to your store again, pick it up and refund my money

I purchased this player since it said it plays DVD+ disc but it does not..plus it loud when it reads your discs

This thing doesn't work 50% of the time. It either gets stuck on "Now reading..." when you put a DVD in or it says "copyright violation" on discs bought through retailers...

I received this product and thought that it was hook-up ready, but it failed to provide and HDMI cord which apparently I have to order separately. Had I known this, I would have ordered the cord. As it is now, I have not used it because I don't have a HDMI cord......Very frustrated as that should have been included in the box.

This DVD player is now 2 years old. It did a firmware update, and then is dead...well, almost. It just emits fast red flashes but is non functional otherwise. It has a library DVD in it which I can't get out. I guess I'll contact Panasonic.

Only lasted about a year. Never moved item around stayed in same location. Only used about 4 times a month. It just stopped reading disks. This is what you get for $200
