The PQ on this 4K player is amazing out of the box! I was really wanting an Oppo-203, but the price gouging is ridiculous! I'm glad I didn't buy one on Ebay because the PQ with this player slightly edges out the Oppo. If it had SACD/DVD-A playback this would be absolutely perfect, but for most people, that is a non-factor. Highly recommended.

Incredible 4k player for the money. Picture just jumps right out at you and incredible audio as well. This the best 4k player I have ever purchased.

This is a great 4K Bluray Player that gives you the best picture quality possible. The menu leaves something to be desired but the video output is amazing.

The case looks more solid than others lead you to believe. No it is not in a solid metal case, but still looks like a quality product. In a comparison to my older sony blue ray I felt like I could hear more clarity from this unit in side by side songs. Still looking at video quality comparison. Load time seems acceptable. Wish the manual gave more details on how to setup the function options.

This is hands down, the best Dolby Vision and HDR compatible 4k player i have had. The picture quality is amazing for the price.

This Blu-ray player will unleash Blu-ray and HDR and allow them to reach their true potential. The audio and video on my last BD player from Sony was “reference grade” audio and video . So this gem from Panasonic shows me that that they have a much higher standard of reference grade AV. You won’t regret this purchase.

Just got thru hooking this up to my Samsung 7250 tv. The set up was easy because I was able to read the manual prior to purchasing(you can download from the Panasonic website). Please beware that you must have a 2.2 HDMI compliant set and you can also google that information. I haven't purchased any ultra4k disks yet but I tried one of blu ray discs and it was awesome. What a difference from my old blu ray player.

Got exactly the right price for this well built blu-ray player ... Just a pointer it's dolby vision make sure the tv is dolby vision for optimal tv experience,, any tv will work though

I am very well pleased with the performance and features of this player. I think it is well designed and is very streamlined. It plays dvds, blu-rays and 4k discs without any problems and the video and audio are always great. I would recommend this player to anyone who is looking for a good quality, reliable player. It is also capable of playing CDs but I use a separate cd player when I want to listen to music.

Awesome picture and the upscaling of standard BluRay has to be seen.

This is a good player. Not sure it is worth the premium pricing over some of the more normal players. The user interface is super clunky. There are some annoying things that pop up all the time (hey I want to watch movies, not see a bunch of data before the movie comes on). The whole front panel swings down to expose the disc tray, a frankly way over engineered system I dislike. Honestly, with the front panel closed, the player doesn't look all that good anyway. Video quality is incredible, as you would expect. I had a ton of trouble with audio output. Eventually had to downgrade the pass through to PCM. On Planes Trains and Automobiles, UHD disc, there was only one choice for the standard audio, and my soundbar would not decode it. All the other audio on the disc worked, so did all the alternate languages; just the main soundtrack was silent. Super annoying, I tried everything to get it to work. In the end, the price of this player is so close to the price of a PS5, I decided to return the player and get a PS5 instead. If you only want a UHD disc player, I would really recommend buying a far cheaper one.

You purchased a high end 4k TV, probably have Dolby Vision, why not get a no fuss player. 4k Blu Rays can be triple layered and some players stuggle with that. Ive used cheapies, ive used my PS5 but always have had certain disk that just struggle. Enter this guy and it handles literally every disk no problem. Search for open box deals

Wow, I never thought I would ever spend this much money on a Blu-ray player but wow is it worth it. I spent a considerable amount of time researching Blu-ray players and this one has a cult following. Previously, I was using my PlayStation 5 to play movies but this player blows it out of the water. I know that it’s expensive but if you’re in the market this is the one to get.

Awesome Picture quality! Best 4K player I’ve owned. Easy to set up. Dolby Vision movies look incredible. Can’t wait to set up surround sound and test that out on this player.

There are some good 4K players out there but this is one of the best! The HCX chip and HDR optimizer combine to give the greatest picture possible no matter what the overall nit (brightness) rating tv you have. On top of that you have the usual excellent build and fit and finish quality from Panasonic. The only other player that may be better is the UB9000 series from Panasonic coming later this year, which will use the exact same picture processing, but utilize better sound components.

Needed to upgrade my Blu-ray player for a 4K one and this one had great reviews and had a good price.

The Panasonic UB-820 is an amazing bluray dvd player. Panasonic has produced one of the better-quality players on the market. It is a little pricier than most players, but it is worth it in my opinion. Hook up a decent hdmi cable and the picture is amazing.
