Replaced a Sony 700m that was freezing, huge upgrade if you care to spring the extra $$. I bought from open box so it was only a few dollars more. Its paired with a LG Oled & Panasonic Elite amp.

Netflix HDR videos look much better using app in this player than using Roku Netflix app in TV. When providing input to this player from an external source such as a harddrive, only a short list of formats are recognized by this player which means your have to purchase software that can convert to an acceptable format which can be time consuming. If you want to watch a video using slow mo or frame by frame advance, this player does not appear to have capability to do that when the source is an external drive.

Not as easy to use as it could be, but the picture is great and the sound paired with a surround system is outstanding. I have only used it with 4K and Blu-Ray disks so I can't say how good it upgrades. Good value for the money.

I bought this after reading a bunch of reviews. Its replacing my consoles as they’ve become just movie machines. This is much quieter then my consoles. As well it doesn’t crash loading up a disk.

for the price there's no comparison. The UB820-K will take full advantage of whatever media you throw at it. I was hesitant at first, only having an Xbox to watch my 4K media on. But this absolutely blew me away.

Great player, high end finish and high quality playback. The user interface is very intuitive. Would not recommend if you are planning to use this device for streaming. Otherwise, great premium product without the hefty price.

Cannot beat the performance on this thing. I bought both this and the 420 and 420 started stuttering and had white dots on the screen while playing a blue ray. This one was flawless. But get a high quality HDMI 2.1 supporting cable if you want to play the dolby vision stuff. The remote looks cheap but is usable.

The Blu-ray was on sale but still cost $400. The reason I opted to spend this much on a plastic box I needed an optical audio feed for the sound system. I could not find a less expensive Blu-ray that had an optical connection. The electronic voice help is odd but not a big deal. Over priced but the unit works well and easy to use.

The UB820 is the most solid 4K player ive used. Came from a sony x300m1 so didnt have dolby vision. But the interface for the UB820 seems more modern and is easier to navigate.

It may seem like discs are tbe old way of watching any sort of media, but really they are the superior way to watch. This specific bluray player is as good as it gets.

If you're nit picky about the little things and want higher quality at the same time then this is the one for you. It has enough settings to customize your viewing and sound experience. Picture looks amazing and even has brighter colors than from what I've noticed on other 4k players. Definitely worth the extra money because it exceeds expectations!

Every feature works perfectly. Spend the money and you will not be disappointed. Connects to the Internet seamlessly. The intuitive setup menu is easy to understand and use. There was no problem connecting to the TV or the AVR receiver. Wishing all new electronic equipment would work as well as this Panasonic Blu-Ray Player.

Great picture and sound quality. Definitely worth upgrading to this player if you get a new 4K TV

Love this player. I bought this so I wouldnt have to keep using my ps5. The picture looks amazing on a oled.

It blew me away! I never knew how much of a game chnaged this could be.

So far so good. Picture is excellent. I have begun playing lord of the rings snd there were some glitched where the screen went completely black. Hopefully this was just the machine warming up.

The best new 4k uhd player for the price. I normally buy the best Sony player I can afford but this little beast is definitely better in video quality. To bad the flagship panasonic 9000 is almost $1,000 or I would buy it. I still use my Sony's in bedrooms but the Pants 820 stays with the home theater system in the living room.

Works great, took a chance with open box and it paid off. Been watching Game of Thrones, and it looks spectacular.
