It automatically reads and go into Dolby vision without me having to manually switch anything over. The hdr optimizer is excellent. I really enjoy this player.

Very Good Quality 4K Disk Player

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This unit is more expensive than most other 4K DVD players, but I believe it is worth the money because of it's excellent playback capabilities regarding both video and audio output. It has a good feature set, but that is not why I bought it. I purchased this Panasonic unit as a replacement for a functional LG 4K player that would occasionally stall and freeze during movie playback. My assumption was that LG unit could not reliably process the huge amounts of data on a 4K disk. Although I have only had my Panasonic unit for about a month, I have not experienced that same freezing problem since I began using it. So, bottom line, despite its higher price tag, I would recommend this Panasonic unit if it is within your budget.

Netflix Prime and YouTube TV a plus not upgradable to Hulu or Plex

Will absolutely change the way you watch movies. Dolby ATMOS sound is amazing once it is set up correctly with overhead speakers, sounds like you are in the middle of everything.

I’m astonished how much better my picture quality is using this player over my previous Sony 4k player. This player is best suited for those who like playing disc media. Streaming apps limited.

I can say the picture on 4k disc and the upscaling of Blu-ray disc are incredible! Definitely check out some YouTube videos on the better way to adjust settings.

Picture is amazing make sure to go into settings and turn TV type to oled and on the remote while playing a 4k disk hit hdr settings button. Turn that on and you can adjust the picture even further if it doesn't look the way it's supposed to. I usually leave it alone and keep it in the middle. Overall great player if its in your price range!

It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+ (for Samsung new TV's). I connected to my Sony soundboard and woks great. Worth the purchase.

Excellent 4k player for watching movies on disc.

It's upscaling of dvd and bluray disc is one of the best I seen. Movies are more enjoyable watching with this player. I only use it for watching movies on disc. It's a bit pricey, although I purchased mine for $100 less but it's worth it.

Has Dolby Vision. Only downside is the remote - it has a Netflix button right where the "up" button should be, so I've accidentally called up Netflix multiple times when trying to scroll through menus.
