My 4k player of another brand was acting funny. Got this Panny at a great price and couldn't be happier! Picture is definitely improved with the ability to adjust picture settings within the player itself. Great in combination with my 4k projector.

This player is amazing the upscaling of 480p content through Amazon app blows away even my Sony flagship TV & it’s known for how well it upscales. All 1080p content looks almost native 4K through YouTube, Netflix & Amazon apps as well. The fact the player allows the apps to upconvert is worth getting the player. Wish the player had Vudu & Disney+ apps but since it’s European based it’s App Store is very limited. I also have the newest Nvidia Shield Pro with upconversion feature & will still use this player to watch under 4k content with the apps. The HDR Optimizer feature is another truly amazing option as well especially if you have a budget HDR TV it helps with the white balance to get the best possible picture. After all my friends saw the quality of upconversion & HDR optimizer features they all got the player too but they got the lower end model because they didn’t need Dolby Vision.

Best 4K player for the price. Previously had a Sony 4K player that was skipping on me so I upgraded to this Panasonic and I have had no issues so far.

So far so good. Excellent picture quality, not only with 4K discs but also DVDs and Blu rays. Love it!

Solid player. No issues so far at all. It might cost a bit more than other players, but in this case, it does seem you get what you pay for.

I have 3 4k Blu Rays including two of the last Oppo premium models. This one by far has the most useful features and has a great picture. Really fantastic product.

Great quality haven't had any issues with overheating or audio displays great image and it goes great with my Sony tv

Awesome picture quality, especially with 4K Blu Ray disks. Dolby Vision disks look stunning. Lots of picture adjustment options with HDR10 disks including HDR Optimizer option. Honestly, picture quality is as good as or better than my Oppo 203.

I own 3 4k players, plus PS5. This is by far the best one. Worth every penny, especially when on sale. Samsung doesnt do dolby vision. LG freezes on multiple layer discs. Do not hesitate and procrastinate on this player like i did.

Bought the Sony - UBP-X800M2 for $199.99 during Black Friday. I didn't want to return it at all because it is Sony and only costed me $200, but I did it at last. This Sony player plays bluray movies fine, but not the 4K movies. I had to adjust the brightness and darkness every time when I played 4K movies. The bright seems too bright, and the darkness seems too dark. I always love Sony TV and the player. Never thought that today, I picked Panasonic player instead. Bought this Panasonic for $399.99 plus tax, but I will keep it until the day it die. It might be another 15 more years because both my Panasonic DMP-BD30 and the Sony BDP-S300 still work fine. I have them since they first came out.

The menu system is adequate, but the worst part is that you can't even pick up where you left off on a movie. Once you go back to the menu screen it doesn't keep track where you stopped the movie. The sound and visual is great but that is about it.

If you’re considering upgrading to this product. Do it. No regrets, no skipping, and great picture. Plays Blu-ray’s and dvds too

the video and sound quality is far superior and will make a great difference with your movies .. well worth the money. Easy menus and setup my favorite feature is the dual HDMI one for video and the other for audio for the purist out there.

I've had it for about two weeks and really like it. The video/audio quality of blu-ray movies is great. The only issue I've have is, I decided to pop in some of my CDs and they sound horrible. Streaming Tidal or even YouTube videos through my Roku sound a lot better.

This is a good 4K Blu-ray player. It makes regular DVD movies look better and it upscales Blu-ray movies to 4K it has a clean look. I just wish it was more sturdy and heavier.

My E6 oled does not have dynamic tone mapping, this player has an hdr optimiser which helps reduce/eliminate clipping, it has settings for specific tv types to get the best quality. for double the price you can get the ub900 but for half the price this has great value.

This is head and shoulders better than the Sony equivalent player for this one reason. The Panasonic automatically switches between Dolby Vision and HDR. The Sony you have to switch every time depending on which disk you put in. Extremely happy with this purchase.
