Great player but UI and streaming from the device is not the best.

Best player for the price if you care about quality. Amazng pucture and sound quality, looks better than real life.

Picked this up when it was discounted for Black Friday. Best player on the market for the price!

If you need a Player buy this immediately. It absolutely rocks. Next step up from here is about a grand. I miss oppo but this is the next best thing. Only complaint is the lack of a remote app, it drives me nuts.

This player handles everything I've thrown at it! It handles 4K Blu-ray with Dolby Vision, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray. Really like having the dual HDMI output as my older LG OLED55E6P doesn't offer eARC support for Dolby Atmos / DTS:X passthrough.

I’ve been without 4K my entire life and I thought Blue ray was pretty cool. But apparently according to my teenage boys its only average. So I put my Sony blue ray player in the family room and bought the 4K player with the best reviews for my living room and I got it at a great price which was cool and who doesn’t want to be cool and thrifty in the eyes of their kids.

Best way to look at it if is worth the money, 1) What would you pay for an entry level player? $225. 2) This model costs $425, so subtract the $225 from that it gives you $200. 3) Are you willing to pay $200 for a 4K blu ray player that makes HDR 10 titles look the best they can with HDR optimizer, and makes DVD looks the best they can? I would say yes. Assume you own this 4 years you are paying $50 a year, or about $4 a month for that. I would call that a bargain.

Picked up at a sales price which makes an already good value, great! The picture and audio quality output is noticeably a step up from sub $500 players. Recommended more for audio and videophiles, especially when on sale.

Awesome! It gets the job done, switches between HDR modes automatically, the HDR optimizer works well, and it does upscaling well!

Very happy with my purchase of Panasonic’s 4K Blu-Ray Player. Picture and sound quality is awesome. I have a 5.2.4 Atmos set up and it sound amazing. The picture on my 65 inch OLED TV looks so sharp.

Great video output, but the chassis mechanicals could use some better design. The current chassis places the physical buttons on TOP of the chassis, instead of on the front. Thus to actually use these buttons you either can't stack another piece of gear on top, or you need to set that piece back far enough to get access to the buttons. From what I can guess, this was done to allow the entire front to be black. Personally, I would have preferred a couple capacitance sensed (i.e., non-mechanical) switches. This solid front also means that the entire front must tilt down in order to insert or remove a disc.

I did some research and this unit was rated the highest in the price point I was looking at. It performs light years ahead of the Samsung I had prior!

Since OPPO dropped out of the dvd business, I studied and researched blu ray players for the latest and greatest. The Panasonic DP-UB820 was and is my answer, so far a great blu ray player.

I purchased this BD player in Dec 2020, and by June it showed signs of stuttering after playing for 10-15 minutes. I have reached out to Panasonic, and they have asked me to ship it to them in return for a new player. Besides the above issue, the menu is horrible. I cannot switch to sub-titles without covering the whole screen with menu items. The strange part is that I cannot pause to start subtitles which is a bummer. One more issue - the Netflix button is right below an important button. One mis press and you lose all the effort you put in finally starting the use.

Excellent product that projects radiant picture and sound. Product does exactly what box says it is supposed to.

This full 4K DVD player has everything you would need in the top of the line player at a decent price. My opinion that I perform as the Oppo which was the previous top player according to all reviews. I have both and can attest to that.

I bought this as an open box deal. Excellent working condition. I replaced my Sony x800 4K player. I was amazed that the picture was so much better on this Panasonic 820. I love it. Sound video quality. Superb.

The Panasonic 7B 820 is definitely one of the Best 4K Blu-ray players around. Especially with the proper home theater set up and if a person still prefers uncompressed disc as opposed to compressed streaming.

My first 4k player purchase after having a 1080p bluray player for over 10 years. Haven't had any issues since the purchase and the films now are bright and crisp--they almost look like documentaries.

Excellent bluray player once out the box and hooked it to your Tv you can see its amazing picture quality, its HDR optimizer does a great job to improve HDR content and its picture upscale is excellent
