Price is pretty high but the picture quality is the best you can get in a player. The ui is a bit dated and hard to use. Only worth the $ if your tv is 4k with Dolby vision support.

Picture is better than any 4k player I ever seen or purchased. It especially looks best on the the 4k blu-rays. But you have to play with the settings of the player for the collars to really come out. Once you get everything set up the way you like it looks excellent for reals. It's a real keeper for reals. I can not be happier for reals. Thanks for everything bestbuy.

This Blu-ray plays DVDs and CDs. The video on it is great. Synced with my Samsung surround sound so I’m happy.

For its price there isn't a better 4K UHD player available. I was previously using my XBox One X to play my 4K disc and watch streaming apps. The UB820 is vastly superior in PQ and AQ from a disc stand point. I haven't tried using its stream capabilities yet. I'm currently using my LG Nano 90 (75") for streaming services and it's fantastic so far! So now my Xbox1X and PS4 are just for gaming. Which is what I mostly enjoy doing in my spare time anyways.

Got a good deal because it was an open box purchase love it fantastic if you have a great TV like the Sony X 90 L and a wonderful Audio set up with a receiver 5.1.2 wooooooooooo!

If all you want is a stand alone blu-ray player this is the one to get. It handles HDR10, HDR10 Plus, Dolby Vision, and HLG. Most importantly it allows you tone map output just in case your TV is not able to accommodate the brightest highlights. (OLED, projector, and low level LCD). One of the most underrated things about this player is when it comes to HDR10 content sometimes it's too dark, possibly even below SDR standards. The Panasonic includes an "HDR Optimizer" which actually allows you to raise the brightness and adjust light/dark as necessary. Compared to my XBOX one S & X, absolutely prefer this as a player. The XBOX still has issues when it comes to playback varying on title, no Dolby Vision/HLG/HDR 10Plus support as of yet. Suggestion is to also look under "Buying Options" as it's easy to get an Open Box excellent from $350-430 depending on location. The players build quality is subpar though for the price and only issue hence 4 stars.

Went ahead and bought this to play my growing 4k blu ray collection. Chose this over the UB420 because my tv has dolby vision and I don't need to worry about changing settings between movies.

It's a little expensive but it does the job just fine. Didn't want to cheap out and regret it later

This is a solid-built and great quality 4k Bluray player with a time counter, the tray is further protected by the front panel making it more dustproof. I love this product

Great Playback ,clarity and sound waiting for a small update that could give a 5 this panel display will not go away unless you pull plug out the back!!!!

This blu-ray player is amazing and goes amazing with my dragon surround sound. The color is beautiful when watching 4k movies and movies with Dolby vision. I would definitely recommend getting this blu-ray and will recommend other to purchase.

It is one of the best BR players from Panasonic but, but have some issues for example: all movies in Netflix streaming are converted to Dolby Vision and this affects the original quality of the movie. If you have a decent AV receiver and good speakers then the sound and surround is amaizing.Super UHD TV+DPUB 820k+Surround System and you don't need to go out to the theater. Watching BR movies is also amaizing to almost 4k.
