I can feel huge difference specially with sound quality. It is buit like a tank.

Great picture and sound, high-end build quality. Pricey but worth it IMHO. All the less expensive players I've looked at are built like toys in comparison. Best Buy delivered quickly, however i wish it had been double boxed considering the value of the player.

The Blu-ray player is great but the apps give problems. The Netflix app does not work at all. The chess app does not work at all.

It really brings the best out of your (s95b) samsung tv's. Oled and Qleds. Plus a (Chocolate) Audioquest cable. A movie may need a tweak here or there ( depends on your preference) with a tv function. For the most part, worth the money.

Heard rave reviews about this player from other enthusiast groups and decided to try it out. Pictures are incredibly detailed and the HDR optimizer is some of the best in class. It doesn’t really get much better than this.

High quality BlubRay player. Better than Oppo player

The Panasonic DP-UB9000 is very well built. The front tray loading is very convenient and the overall picture and sound quality are excellent. The only consideration is whether this model is worth the extra ~$500 than the Panasonic UB820. Anyway, something to think about when evaluating 4k players.

Can also view all my older dvd's that are not 4k. Easy hook-up.

The construction alone is remarkable. It is very well made. Love the all metal chassis. 4K looks amazing as you'd expect from a device with this price tag. The Blu-ray upscaling is of a noticeable difference compared to my standard Blu-ray player. Overall I am very happy and impressed with this product.

Up to now, I've only found information concerning the technical performance of this solidly built player and its less well-made sibling the DP-UB820, all of which indicate that they're stellar. I have yet to test out my player to the max but I thought I'd review the voice control ability of the player, something that Best Buy does not even mention in their description of the product and online reviews simply gloss over. That's surprising as these Panasonic units are, as far as I know, the first and only players on the market that currently offer voice control using the assistants. I cannot speak to Alexa functionality as I have a Google home. Know firstly that this is NOT a Google device and does not have any Google hardware in it. It does, however, have voice control which is compatible with both Alexa and Google Home/Assistant. The setup process is a big pain but it does work. The commands you have to give are, in a word, terrible. Who wants to say, "Hey Google, ask Panasonic Blu-ray to open the tray", etc. So I created shortcuts for all the Panasonic commands in advance of even receiving my purchase - they're available online. "Hey Google, Blu-ray open" works just fine. But when you connect a device to Google Assistant via one of these Ask or Tell commands, it's never good news. The response time is miserable. And moreover, the Google home device will not lower the volume while shouting out your commands. So for power on/off or open/close the tray I may use voice control but not for pausing, fast forwarding or any other "...ing". It would simply take too long to respond, assuming my commands were even heard or understood.

I absolutely love this player because the picture quality is phenomenal I have a 65 inch Sony TV which is also 4K and the are superb together Even though the Panasonic 4K player is pricey I am so glad I bought it

Amazing player! Better picture quality than my 4K Oppo due to Panasonic’s superior tone mapping. Build quality and fit and finish are top notch! Only downside is no DVD audio or SACD, which in this age is not too bad since we stream or can download lossless to our systems for the most part now.

Great player was more tha expected. Very good sound and picture. Brings a regular dvd picture and sound out like a theater with jbl sound bar. 4K and Blu-ray just WOW. Little pricey but, worth it if your into movies.

Now that the Oppo 205 is no longer manufactures, the Panasonic DP-UB9000 is the best bang for the buck playing Blue ray, cds, streaming picture and audio quality aare excellent

Great product. Fine build quality. Hear sound-detail other players ignore. Drawback: printout 51-page manual and connecting bluetooth. Optical digital cable only transmits sound.

Build quality is outstanding! Couldn't be happier with this purchase. As always, Best Buy offers extended warranties - just in case. Pickup at the store was simple and fast. I like to buy all of my electronics at Best Buy!

I have been looking forward in having this unit since oppo closed shop. I have the oppo 105d and I can tell you this ub9000 weights the same 17 pounds at half the oppo size. Picture quality by far is the best in the market & analog sound like oppo excellent! With unit using the Japanese akm 4493 dac is one of the best in the market. So you get excellent picture & sound and streaming service as well all in one package. No sacd feature a little bum but that’s still make this a great player to have. I got this open box excellent condition for $749.00 so even better!!!

EXCELLENT DESIGN AND WELL BUILT MATERIAL. PICTURES ARE AWESOMES, AND SURROND IS ALMOST CINEMA EXPERIENCE, BUT A LITTLE PRICY.
