"NO READ" Error Solution

That said - if a number of your UHD 4K discs suddenly stop reading correctly (you get "NO READ" on the display after waiting a few moments), try finding the firmware from Panasonic for your region - regardless if it was already up to date. Follow their instructions carefully for transferring the firmware from a USB flash drive to the player. This situation happened to me tonight, and re-flashing the firmware happened to be the last thing I tried (after a soft reset, factory reset, unplugging/replugging, and wiping the discs countless times). Ultimately, that ended up solving the problem and now all my discs work fine! Very thankful I don't need to send the player down to Florida for service...

THE 4K PLAYER TO BEAT

I recently owned an OPPO 103D with Darbee enhancement, and this player's video quality is better. Regular blurays look outstanding!!!! Highly recommended!!!

Excellent player

From build quality to picture quality to sound quality, everything is top notch. The only down side is it won’t play SACD and DVD audio, may not be a problem for most, but definitely will cause problem for some. For me it is enough and I highly recommend it

The reason is because it has hdr optimizer for movies which looks you adjust the hdr picture settings to your liking. I was very lucky to get this set.

I’m a bit of an audio/videophile having previously owned several Oppo units. The video quality is incredible on this unit!! Audio quality is pretty darn good too via the analog outputs as is the transport for feeding an external DAC. The only downsides are that it’s slow to start up and the apps available through the Panasonic store are very limited and don’t appear to be kept up to date. That works well for helping to sell competitors streaming sticks :)

It truly is night and day. Even with cds, they sound so detailed that you can hear imperfections in the recording. Of course the video is amazing as well.

Good bluray player

It is definitely better than Sony. The product looks beautiful and the video pictures are fantastic. Unfortunately, it has limited streaming capabilities, only Netflix!
