Amazing Clarity! I was lucky enough to probably purchase the last ZT from Magnolia in late January ’14. I was told by the sales associate that it was their very last set and if I didn’t act on it, someone else will buy it. Sure enough, I told him I wanted it and so the deal was done and at the time, on SALE at two thousand two hundred. As for the picture quality, I am amazed by the clarity. Coming from a 9 year old Panasonic Plasma, I knew I would not be disappointed. This, plus after reading so many positive reviews and knowing that this was the last plasma model that Panasonic was making as they are getting out of the Plasma models and focusing on LCD and OLED’s. As for the talked about fan noise, I say hogwash. Yes, there is a faint whirly fan noise but nothing to go nuts about. There is a difference between listening to it and hearing it. If you listen and look for that noise, yes you will hear it. But it is not like while watching TV, that that is your focus, because you can barely hear it. The picture quality overshadows the faint fan noise, especially if you are watching it via your home theater. Overall, no buyer’s remorse here. As a family of 4 who enjoys watching movies with 2 kids, especially Disney movies – there is nothing better than sitting on couch with kids around you munching on popcorn. Home Theater: Pana 60” ZT60, Pana BD500 BluRay, Denon 4308, Def Tech Speakers.

I bought my first plasma TV about three years ago, a Panasonic VT25 screen 58 inch. It was the best I could find back then. It's probably still better than most out there now. But this new ZT60 is absolutely unbelievable. I can't say enough good to describe how realistic the picture is. Color is "very" realistic. The blacks are 'BLACK" and WHITE is the same.. I recommend this Panasonic to anyone who really appreciates a 'really good' TV...Too bad this is the last year for this really nice television... A 10 for sure.

I originally wanted the step down st60 or vt60 models only to find out that they were obsolete for the taking. I came to my senses and bought the zt60... nothing to regret at all! Awesome picture, great features and a beautiful finish.. if only it came with an integrated camera. I previously owned a 46" x3 series so i knew what kind of quality i was buying into and im glad i did. Panasonic has a well known reputation for outstanding plasma technology. Its sad to see them leave the plasma field. My next tv will be a panasonic 4k... No other manfacturer could even come close to the quality of panasonic... not even samsung!!

The Panasonic Plasma 60ZT60 is the premier plasma television of this generation. So what does a company do once it makes the absolute best of a generation -- they stop producing plasma TVs naturally. Since this was their last TV and the highest of the line it forced me, prematurely, to obtain the ZT model to replace my 800U series THX Panasonic Plasma. I was not in the market but I keep up with what is going on in the marketplace. I ran solid color slides for the first 100 hours to age the phosphors evenly and inspect for any dead/stuck pixels. Screen was flawless and the break-in time did wonders when it was time to attach content to the TV. Picture quality is fantastic. Using THX mode the color reproduction is spot on, using THX bright room (I have 5 windows that cause very slight reflections) eliminates reflections. The THX bright room was a big factor in why I chose this TV as we needed a screen that could handle our room. Hands down, this TVs picture faithfully reproduces the content that it is sent. I dialed in the TV using sound and vision recommendations for 3D and 2D. We watch OTA digital broadcast and blu ray from our PS3 fed through a receiver. The blu ray experience is excellent with 3D non-animated content being the only weak link. NETFLIX and Amazon content is reproduced very accurately on this TV. The APPS that come with this connected TV are overwhelming because so many of them will never be used. Hint to the TV manufacturers: We watch TV with our tablet or our smart phone at the ready - if I want to know the weather I'll just click on my iPad, it's faster and offers more features. Sound from the TV is just okay - I would gather most people that would buy a screen this size and this expensive would be using it in conjunction with a home theater set up allowing the receiver to handle the sound. If I didn't have an elaborate set up of speakers I would be in the market for a quality sound bar. There is an issue that I have not been able to resolve that may or may not be the fault of the TV: the ARC (HDMI 2) Audio Return Channel has a noticeable delay when utilizing OTA broadcasts and the receiver. The delay is slight but annoying. Thankfully we watch very little from the antenna and some of the time when we do we just use the TV speakers. Some people have commented on the fan noise from the back. I have zero fan noise so I can't comment aside from saying it's not an issue on my set. Overall, if you haven't bought this TV yet, you're probably out of luck for a while until a manufacturer can produce a screen quality that surpasses the Panasonic ZT lineup. The model, and most of the 2013 Panasonic Plasma line up, has been snatched up by this point.

Replaces my Sony 60A2020 rear projection which has a nice picture. The picture quality on the VT60 is more than nice. It is increadible! The THX bright mode is great for daylight viewing. I mostly watch TV and Blu-rays but the Smart features work well too. To improve the sound, I hooked up a Vizio S5430W-C2 soundbar to the HDMI ARC input and didn't even have to program the TV's remote. Everything works just like it did when listening to the built in speakers.

The PQ on the ZT60 is the best of any Panasonic plasma I have owned (this will be the 6th different PAN plasma for me). Finally, rich colors and black levels like my Pioneer Kuro, but with much sleeker appearance and better viewing in lighted room. I, unfortunately, got an April 2013 build in Jan 2014 that did not have the foam fix, and do not want to risk chance of tech putting the back panel cover back on improperly and having the panel cover to slowly start to pull the panel (no air gap) away causing microfractures, which cannot be replaced/repaired since this is discontinued, so have to take off 1 star. I feel fortunate that I got one and must have got one of the last ones (late Jan) that Best Buy had. The prices on these are now going up 3x.

Excellent colors & definition in nighttime & daytime (though nighttime is better). Internet setup and interaction with my Sonos playbar and Sony Blu-Ray player was seamless. Looks amazing wall-mounted. Great price for the 60". The jump in price for the 65" seemed a bit much, but my space was better suited for the 60", so it made the decision easy. Haven't tried any 3D movies at home just yet, but did do a viewing in Magnolia prior to purchasing, and it did look impressive. Only negative - this TV doesn't appear to have an option to turn off the volume, so just need to turn volume down to 0 to use a soundbar with it...could be annoying if you start mixing the cable & TV remotes, but has been OK for me so far.

I purchased the ZT60 a little less then a month ago and am very happy w\it. I was able to get it before all were sold out. It's a shame Panasonic is getting away from making Plasma TV's because this one is the best one I have ever seen and owned. I would say they are getting out on top. I have several plasma tv's in my house and this one has the best black levels and bright room balance i have ever seen. Good anti-glare for a plasma if your in a room that has light as well. One thing I found that did need to be done is adjust the setting under" Cinema" or "custom" . Calibrated settings according to what Cnet site had tested and reviewed this TV on and it made a big difference on the picture quality. The fact that you do need to adjust settings to truly get the amazing picture quality out of it is a little disappointing when you pay for something like this. Wish manufacturers could do something to make these adjustments more out of the box but it is by no means difficult to change yourself. Well worth it in my opinion.

Amazing color quality and contrast in the 60" ZT model (this was the only model left in the store chain). Set up is fairly intuitive, and default settings work, although I imagine that the true enthusiast will want to accentuate the color palate. Connection to the Internet was easy. The variety of apps are typical - Yahoo, Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, etc. Connecting to Facebook has been a pain - but this is the reason we bought the TV anyhow. Two remotes are helpful - the little one serves us well - easy features to turn on/off, volume, channel and link to Apps. If I would add anything, it would be a sound bar which will redirect sound from the back of the unit to the front. I have a feeling that this unit will do much much more than what we are using it for. I really wanted the ST or VT model, because of size and price point, but after seeing the ZT in my home, with light coming from all directions, I am simply impressed and thrilled with the purchase.

This is the best display on the market right now. Panasonic has matched the much loved Kuro in black levels, but just missing them in brightness. Display needs little to no calibration out of the box. 3D is excellent as well. Speakers are on the back of the unit and are virtually useless.

Best Plasma TV ever made. I also have a Pioneer Kuro KRP500M and this a close tie... but just a tad crisper. Super inky blacks, best side viewing angle I ever seen, bright as you want, perfect color saturation, clear.... And abslutely Gorgeous on or off. I also considered the Samsung F8500 which is also a very nice picture, but the bezel looks cheap in comparison. Built in sound is a little better than a cell phone speaker. Plan on adding a good speaker system. Despite the reviews saying the VT model and the ZT are similar, they are not. The ZT has much deeper blacks, single pane of glass (most plasmas have two panes, trapping air and causing double mirror text from side angle viewing... Etc) You cannot go wrong with this TV. I don't watch 3D or use smart TV features as its quirky and Apple TV trumps it for a hundred bucks.

Once you kick the presets to the side and set it up for THX-rated picture and sound, it's an awesome device. I've been waiting for years to replace my Pioneer Elite PRO Plasma and frankly thought I'd never get the chance to get something I liked better. This device is a revelation! On top of that, it's only slightly larger than the Elite PRO 50" with side speakers, so it didn't dwarf my available space. The only complaint I've got is the 3 HDMI connections. I had gotten rid of my older component and composite devices long ago, so those connectors will never get used, but with AppleTV, TIVO, and Bluray, there's no room for a camcorder.

This TV is wonderful. The picture is so life like. We did not realize this was a 3D TV when we purchased it. This is our first experience with a 3D TV and it is a great feature. This TV replaced a 50" plasma that had gone out. The technology has improved so much. We had great customer service from Bob, Tony and Chris at Best Buy! We would recommend this set to others. It is well worth the money!

I waited for a few years to purchase this TV as I was very happy with the 42" Panasonic Viera TV I purchased from Best Buy several years ago. When I learned the production of these TVs was ending in December 2013, I decided to purchase one while they were still available. I have been very happy with this set. The picture is simply stunning when watching a blue ray movie. If you are on the fence about getting one of these TVs, I suggest you get one while they are still available. The only downside that I have found is I wish there were more HDMI inputs for this set which only has 3. This limitation is driving me to consider upgrading my preamp to one that includes HDMI video switching which is difficult considering the preamp I have now still works very well.

From all the reviews I read, this television was supposed to have one of the best pictures ever. Well it did not disappoint as the picture is absolutely stunning in all formats - Satellite, Bluray, Media Player, Netflix & even 3D. The only negative I could even come up with for this television is the fact it only has 3 HDMI inputs, however, if you're buying this TV, one would expect you to have a home theater setup of some sort with a receiver, so more HDMI inputs wouldn't be necessary. It would be nice if the TV had a thinner bezel like the latest LEDs, but I think that is just a limitation of the plasma technology. A swivel stand would've been nice though.

Even at 60", this TV shows satellite with such detail It renders film looking like film-movie channels- and video looking like video-i.e. nightly network news broadcasts, all in HD glory. You can differentiate the source material. Realism shines through. Blurays Look incredible, again either displaying new movies laden with special effects or older filmed movies, even showing film-like grain with incredible detail. You are seeing the material as it was intended. 3D is an added treat which is most enjoyable. I have not even gotten into SMART TV features or internet streaming. If the Picture is important to you then this is your TV

Top of the line Panasonic plasma tv. It took me a while before I was able to achieve the brilliant, sharp picture I anticipated. After tinkering for a couple of weeks, I am most pleased. I almost had to call for professional calibration, but finally got all the tweaks just right to my satisfaction. Expensive, but worth it. The extras and internet connection work flawlessly.

I had one of the old pioneer elite tv s which was noted for the vibrant colors. I was very worried when it died because I thought that I would never find one with those qualities. To my surprise after careful research I found this plasma Panasonic tv and couldn't have asked for anything better. It is just wonderful, especially the wonderful vibrant colors, you watch it and feel like you are wherever the show you are watching takes you...couldn't ask for better than that. For the $2599. That I paid for it...it is worth every penny, I would recommend this tv to anyone looking for a plasma tv!

We originally we looking to purchase the VT60, but unfortunately they were sold out before we could purchase one. This left us with the decision between the ST60 or the ZT60 at double the price. Since we are both avid movie and video buffs we opted for the ZT60 but still questioned paying that much for a TV. After we got the set home and connected we watched Monster's U on Bluray; The picture was unbelievable, the colors are so vibrant. We always preferred the picture on the Panasonic Plasmas and this set proved we made the right choice for us. The only negative we have on this set was the weak sound system. The first night we had it we had to keep turning the volume up to hear the dialog; but again we didn't purchase this set for its audio quality. We easily fixed the problem with the purchase of the Bose Cinemate GSII and connecting it to the optical output of the set. All in all, we are truly enjoying this set and are saddened to know that this was Panasonic's last year of their Plasmas. We are just glad we were able purchase one while they were still available.
