    Best 65in TV for price

I did a ton of research and just fell in love with this TV. I didn't want to spend more then 1500.00 on a new set, and I don't use 3D or the internet; I have a PS3 for the internet features. I bought a Panasonic back in 2009 and that TV still looks better than most TVs not named Panasonic. I wanted a bigger TV with a great picture for my now larger living space. Seriously if you have the money to dish out then get the Panasonic ZT60, but if you're on a budget and could care less about all the bells and whistles then definitely get this TV. The picture is outstanding and my BlueRays look flawless. The sound isn't great but most people have surround sound systems nowadays anyways. It would be nice to have more than two HDMI outputs, but no big deal. In my opinion the only TVs better than this one are more expensive Panasonic TVs....

I got this delivered yesterday on the 14th. Wow! what a beautiful tv. It is so big! I had a 52" Samsung LED from 2008 that I replaced. Wow! what an upgrade. I researched TV's for about a month. CNET has Panasonic plasmas listed in there top 4 slots for best pictures of the yr. I would have never considered plasma unless I had done my homework. Panasonic is no longer making plasmas after this yr., but they will still support them if you have any problems. I am so glad to get one of these beautiful TV's before they are all gone. The 55", and the 42" are already sold out. Sold out, as in, "gone forever" I would have got the ST if I had an extra $500, but as I am not into 3D, or smart features, I didn't care. It is wireless, and has about 6 apps, like youtube, and Netflix, and hulu if you want to do the smart thing. You won't be sorry if you purchase this tv. Only 2 HDMI inputs, but that's all I need. I don't do gaming either. Blu ray, and dvr, and I'm all set!!

    Great TV for football fan

I wanted a samsung 65 inch 3D 240 Hertz because of the hertz. It was more than 120 and I watch a lot of football, MMA, and boxing. I didn't really care about the 3D because there's not too many 3D channels and 3D movies are more expensive. When I decide to buy the TV it was sold out after Black Friday. While I was trying to leave with a TV a best buy person told me about the Panasonic 65 inch led tv 600 hertz. I was shocked.. I didn't know hertz went higher than 240. He told me that Tv was number 1 five years in a row. I wanted to buy the TV and go home, but it was out of stock as well. I left without a tv. We had a 55 inch and briefly upgraded to a 65 inch. It made a huge difference and my family made comments about it. Finally I looked at consumer reports and this TV was rated very high plus it was affordable for me. I purchased it and it's legit. I read comments about waiting 24 hours and the picture gets better and it's true. Plus I have a ford edge. I had to lay down the plasma.the best buy guy gave me attitude about laying it down because the screen will crack. I drove for 40 minutes and Guess what? It didn't crack! Of course I didn't drive crazy. I thought ya ll should know because I read a lot of comments. . You can get it home with out breaking. Don't believe all the hype.

Great Buy on a 65" plasma

Bought the tv for less than $1300! The colors are true, and not bleached out like LED screens. Crystal clear HD and Blue Ray make this a Steal. We have watched multiple movies and we have zero complaints. The TV is in my basement, so reflections are not a problem, but could be an issue if it was in a bright room. Comparing the set to the ST50, I really wanted the 3D, but for the price this was a simple decision. Only having two HDMI connections are not a problem because I have the set connected to Dennon receiver. Thus, the sound quality of the TV is not even considered.

My wife and I just got our first house and the basement room is a perfect theater spot for me. All I use this for is Blu-Rays and Video Games. I dont watch tv on it because you will never TRULY get a solid HD channel. Plus it will make you think you have a broken tv (like the guy below me on his "everyday" use) I havent messed too much with the settings since i have geek squad coming out to offically calibrate it for my blu ray movies but I looked at them and there are some VERY nice features. I play Halo 4 and Gears of War:Judgement ALL the time and there is not one single piece of lag, UNLESS I am playing multi, but thats internet...not tv of course :D There is only 2 HDMI ports but I have a Denon receiver with 5 so it doesnt matter. What made me get this tv was that its the simple tv I wanted. It doesnt have that 3D stuff that i dont want along with all that other....smart tv stuff that is useless to me. I also have a 60' and a 50' viera in 2 other rooms so I knew this new model would be boss. The blacks and the reds are amazing along with the rest. Do your research online and they will all be good. If you want a tv that just plays your games or blurays without none of that useless stuff you dont want...this is your model. Trust me :D

Just returned Vizio 65 LED m3d651sv as the picture was a little blurry and was giving me headaches each time I watched. Last night I tried to watch the NCAA BB Tourn, but had to go to room and watch on 42" Panasonic plasma. Today I went to Best Buy and exchanged Vizio for this new 65" Panasonic plasma. Best Buy was great in helping with the exchange and this model was cheap enough to add wall mount and optical cable....

Spent weeks looking for a new tv, narrowed it down to 3 and then made my final decision. For everything this tv offers, I really would have expected to pay a lot more. Very happy with my purchase and LOVE watching movies on it. The sound isn't great from the tv speakers, but who doesn't have at least a sound bar these days. This is actually hooked up to a 7.1 surround sound system, so the sound along with the picture is fantastic.

This TV is superb! Excellent price for a set that works so well. All you need is a smartphone and a couple free apps to play movies from your phone to the tv! The picture is perfect and colors are amazing. Get this TV while you still can! These are discontinued btw! The screen does glare when light hits it directly. We just put up thicker curtains and vuala, works like a charm! The TV is plenty bright even in a well lit room also!

Adding a big flat screen for the man cave I currently have a 50 inch Samsung plasma in my LR and a Sharp LED in my family RM. Read many reviews and choose this one because of good feed back and price. Outstanding picture and better than the LED. Stick with plasma.

Great tv for great price. Great apps and ease of use. Had geek squad install and upgrade remote and current surround system, works great, hdmi sound quality is off the charts. HD channels come in so clear, you think you are there.

The best plasma series for a budget

This TV looks awesome. Panasonic has outdone themselves yet again. I cannot recommend their plasma TVs enough. The only feature I found lacking was the absence of 3D which I cannot complain about since they do offer it on their step up models ST60. If 3D is not important in your mind, then this is the TV for you.

complete entry level plasma for panasonic

I have three other panasonic plasma's 2 are tc-p65st30 and 1 is a 2008 50" 720p model, all from Best Buy, all of them blow this s60 model away- I just got off the phone for the 3rd time with a panasonic rep and it is confirmed that they made a cheaper panel, screen and drive processer for the s60 model compared to the st60 so by far not having 3d is not the only difference. The screen reflects many things that the previous mentioned models did not. The clarity of the screen may be on par for someone but not any cinema buffs, no game mode, blur on everything and I know how to set a plasma, the down firing speakers are so muffled they sound like a hopped up I-pad, DO NOT CHEAT YOUSELF buy the ST60 model for a almost perfect picture - you will thank youself everyday

Bought this on 5/3 for $1,499 (nice to see it is a lower price now....not cool Best Buy). Owned several Panasonic Plasmas (all purchased from Best Buy). Wanted the ST60, but they only had this one in stock, sales guy said this one was "just as good" (I knew better, I'm not your average consumer). Anyway, I needed a TV for my new space and took this one home. Shame to say this, but the picture for everyday use it terrible. Video games....FORGET IT. Panasonic didn't give you game mode for this TV, and they openly acknowledge severe game lag (I called them and posted to their tech forums). Blu-rays and high quality HD streaming can look great if you take your time adjusting it, and have the right size room (really, don't buy this size if you don't have the viewing distance, your only cheating yourself a good picture). My room is plenty large enough, but this picture is intolerable, the fact that it can't be used for video gaming, and speakers sound like they are being transmitted through a rolled up paper tube make this TV a pass in my book. If you have low standards or just want a cheap plasma 65: TV, then go ahead. But if your picking and want something for your $1,400+, then get the ST series and get the 60".
