This is one of the safest entertainment opportunities for your children. Kids will have times where they want to watch tv. This system provides a safe place to protect your child from all of the vulgarity, violence, and shameful television.

Good set up try whichever hdm1/2 the one that works with your TV set. On the down side the shows are not enough and the remote control is not working after barely 3weeks of use. There's a signal light which Keeps blinking when a button is pressed but nothing selected shows on TV screens. Too bad

Doesn't have a ton of content, but it keeps my daughter entertained within a nice walled ecosystem for her age range.

PBS Kids Plug & Play is perfect for kids

Not too long ago I cut the cord after realizing my family and I don't really watch television like we used to. A few days after mailing the cable box back to my service provider, I awoke to a big problem: my kids were suddenly left with nothing to watch because they had lost access to all of their favorite channels--PBS included.
I didn't want my kids to use my Roku because I worried they would be too hard on the remote or mess with my settings the way kids manage to stumble into things most of the time. When I saw that this item was on sale here, I quickly purchased it and it I haven't regretted it since.
My kids are having a blast watching their favorite episodes of Odd Squad, Arthur, and SciGirl. They even discovered shows they hadn't watched on PBS Kids before like Bob the Builder (a personal favorite of mine when I was younger) and Peg + Cat.
I was pleasantly surprised that they enjoy the games on the device. They are addicted to playing Rail Riders, often yelling out the name of objects and pointing out other objects that aren't a part of the game. They enjoy playing with the Sound Box because of all of the crazy sounds that are there, and also get really into playing with the Fireworks screensaver. They haven't managed to get a grasp of how to play Road Trip Adventure but like mimicking the words and sounds. They've gotten a lot better at pronouncing certain words thanks to this game, so I am definitely grateful for it.
My girls love the Sing-A-Long but I personally feel like there aren't enough song options available for them. Despite my complaint, they continue to blast the Wild Kratts theme every day. Constantly. If they are happy, then who am I to complain?
The video quality is surprisingly good on the PBS Kids Plug & Play, and I rarely ever experience low-quality video streaming. The sound quality is also really good, especially with older shows which I expected to sound less clear.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to other parents looking for a device to keep their kids entertained. A PBS Kids-focused product means I don't have to worry about them stumbling onto content they are too young for and they get to play little games to their heart's content.

Simple to set up and the kids can use it themselves. Enough on board material to use without WiFi for an hour or two.
The remote is simple and the interface is designed to accommodate toddlers. My three year old used it herself within 5 minutes.
The only thing requiring manual set up is putting in your WiFi password and a zip code associated with the PBS broadcast desired. It really is plug and play.
