I wanted a remote to use for my One X, but didn't like Microsoft's version which was very small and basic. This one was full size and everytime it detects movement, the remote backlights which is great for gaming at night! This remote also goes on sale, which makes it an even better value than the Microsoft version!

This was requested from a relative for Christmas. Since they have gotten it they have thanked me many many times. They loved it.

If you use the XBox for additional entertainment options this is a must have remote. It works great for navigating around your selections and the key pad lights up when you move the remote. It was for a great price and I highly recommend this if you are looking for something that is easier to use than a game controller when using for Netflix or Hulu.

This remote is a nice substitution for using the xbox controller. No more accidental fast forwards by bumping the controller!

If your like me and have a hard time controlling movies, tv shows or video with your gaming controller.... then this item is perfect for you! The buttons even light up with movement for easier handling in the dark. Works with everything on the Xbox (Netflix, Hbogo, Showtime, Encore, Youtube, Blurays, etc.). Highly recommend, I love this item!

As soon as you put the batteries in, it's ready to go. There's no need to sync it up to your Xbox One which is a huge plus.

For those that use their XBOX for DVDs and streaming services like Twitch, this remote is a MUST HAVE. It’s cheaper than the Microsoft brand remote, and does so much more. This remote works right out of the box and is the perfect accessory for all XBOX One consoles. I could not recommend this enough!

This remote works well, looks good, and I like use it when I’m watching movies or tv when I’m not playing video games.

Very happy with this remote. It fits comfortably in my hand and has a backlight to see the buttons in the dark. I use my Xbox One as a Blu-ray player so this works much better than the standard controller and also doesn't waste the batteries on it. Recommended if you are using your unit for multimedia and not just a gaming machine.

The Xbox controller turns off after a period of inactivity so this remote is great for pausing and other menu controls while watching video. Can be difficult inserting batteries but just be careful and back cover will slide open. Functionality is good but volume controls doesn't work for me. Cheaper than the official Xbox remote.

This is a must have for any media or app lover. The remote works great no pairing just install the batteries and go!

Makes quick work out of entering passwords and profiles, and illumination is MOTION ACTIVATED.... how cool is THAT!

This is a great accessory for the Xbox if you also use it for streaming video! It's already setup to use no issues!

The reason I got this remote is so I can watch Netflix and Hulu. It was much nicer to use then the Xbox controller.

I purchased this remote mainly because it was on sale but I know for a fact that it works great with the XBox one.

Fully functional remote for use with the Xbox. Convenient as it doesn’t require me to turn my controller on (or off to save battery) when watching tv or Netflix for example. Controls my tv volume and channels through my Xbox and even lights up when touched. Great buy.

I love this remote. Had purchased this same remote two years ago and recently bought a new one ONLY Bc my dog decided to eat the old one. My favorite feature is the backlighting. Makes it easy to find buttons while watching a movie. It has a great feel to it to. Sturdy and compact.

Remote works great. I’ve had it work up to 30ft. away without any issues. A few issues: You have to point it in very close proximity in the direction of the XBox. It will not work if you happen to just pick it up and try to use it without pointing it at the XBox. It is infrared and not radio like the controller. Another issue I have found is the X,Y,B,A buttons dont always seem to work like they would on the XBox controller. The remote defaults to other buttons sometimes. I have not figured out if this remote is programmable since the instructions are very limited to non-existant. Last, dont drop the remote. They are not super durable. Don’t mis-interpret this, they are durable, but due to little kids and hard tile floors, they will over time become unusable when they end up on the floor alot. Mine lasted for over 2 yrs. which seems to be the norm for most all products now. Other than that it works great.

Pros: Backlit buttons, comfortable, not a battery eater. Cons: Range is absolutely awful and the slightest obstruction to the direct path of your Xbox can result in a series of failed attempts to issue commands. Note: This was/is being used with a launch console.
