An Excellent and Unorthodox crime series with complex characters who continue to grow as the series morphs from drama to mystery, in an ever evolving definition of good, evil, and the spaces between.

This was the start of it all. A great show with a awesome cast. You could not ask for a better procedural show than this. Get ready for some twists as the show goes on...

at first I was a little unsure about the whole concept of the MACHINE but the show is wonderfully written and the acting is top notch.

I had little knowledge of the first season, because I had not started watching "Person of Interest" until the second season. Having the DVD of the first season, it was great to watch and get some questions answered as to how Finch and Reese's relationship began. The development of the plot structure where the machine senses acts of possible terror is intriguing, especially how the writers developed this early on in the series. The production does a very creditable job of developing the uneasy relationship between Fusco and Carter. Very good is Fusco returning to "good cop" status, as Carter's partner (arranged by Reese undercover), and then in another plot twist, being requested by Reese to go back to working with the "trash cops" life he thought he had left behind Reese's knowledge and use of offensive and defensive arts is instructive and entertaining. Good plot usage of times when Reese and Finch are temporarily foiled due to human error. The humor is well placed in all of the episodes, as is the buildup to suspense. Proverbs 3, vs. 5 - 6

Exciting, thoughtful & a little scary look at the weaponization of modern information technology. Definitely 'Robin Hood' theme, with the good guys working outside the law for justice. The two male leads are extremely easy on the eyes, and can act, as well! The only drawback is the use (several times each episode) of computer screen readouts, often overlapping, meant to emphasize the techy, but somewhat hard on the eyes. Still, I plan to buy the other seasons 'cause I'm caught up in the plot!

If you enjoyed Fringe then it's legendary director J J. Abrams has something else you will enjoy. In cooperation with Jonathan Nolan the brother of critically acclaimed Christopher Nolan (director of the Dark Knight trilogy) who have created a chillingly relevant techno-thriller TV series. However don't expect the same number of special features as Fringe DVDs; there is an extended pilot, a featurette about living in the age of surveillance, a gag reel, a single director commentary for the Pilot episode and that is it.

I had almost given up on T.V. Seemed like every time I thought something wouldn't SUCK after the first few episodes, I got hosed. (Like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for instance.) Person of Interest is SO good I can't wait to actually buy the 4th season! If you haven't seen it - check it out on CBS.com. If, like me, you find it awesome - then buy the first three seasons. There isn't a bad episode yet!

I didn't start watching this series until about half-way through the second season. I bought this set to find out what I had missed. The premise of the series is very interesting and the actors are perfect for the roles they play. I plan to buy more seasons of this show. Each episode builds on the ones that came before. If you haven't yet seen any of the shows, you might want to buy Season 1 and watch it first. It will help you make sense of the new episodes.

This is a good show that rapidly becomes great. It has your interest right from the pilot. But then it slowly unfolds episode by episode in complexity, which is what you want in a TV show of this nature. J.J. Abrams produces great stuff as proved in "Lost" & "Alias." I just finished season one and I am very glad I bought season one and 2 together!

This first season was a great surprise to me. I love all of the main characters and how they work together to tell good stories. The action is great. The series is full of wonderful mystery and keeps one guessing. Also uses the audience brain to try to figure out what's going on. A refreshing story.

This show is perfect for someone who is a little geeky and loves an action packed tv series. There's a reason why they're still going strong with 4 season already. You honestly have to start with the first season to get an idea of what goes on the rest of the season.

Just really enjoy this series. It's nice to be able to watch these episodes over. I find sometimes it's not always easy to follow what's going on when watching the first time around so now I can watch them over and catch what I may have missed the first time.

My brother and I are hooked. We love this show! This show served as a great week by week mystery show in its first two seasons before it got to being all about the bigger picture. Much better than all the crime and cop shows you see on TV these days.

Season 1 of this highly anticipated show is a show stopper. Action packed and mysteries abound, with enough humor to keep you interested. Guns and fist fights for the guys and Michael Emerson and Jim Caviezel for the ladies!

This show is a one of a kind. Based in New York, a man with seemingly endless sources of income enlists the help of a man to prevent crimes before they occur. Some of my favorite scenes involve flashbacks.

Very interesting how they peel back the layers being in the present and then going into the past to show what happen so you know why they are doing what they are doing in the present

Just like most shows, PoI does have formulaic beginnings, but once you get into it, you start to see the deeper places it goes. Acting, action and plot are all great in PoI Season 1.

My wife loves this show. I found Season 1 Blue-Ray on sale for $19.99. It does not get any better than that. Great plot lines, now that NSA scandal it gets a lot more true to life.

This show keeps you on the edge of your seat! There are so many twists and added story lines that its very intense. I want more!

Person of Interest is compelling and fun. It's a super hero show without super powers or a cape but it works. It's just realistic enough to make you think.
