A great experience all the way through, with an amazing story and music. If you liked Persona 5 you'll love this game since it's basically a sequel.

Really fun and addictive game, big fan of previous games made by the warriors dev team, this one is no different, multiple playable characters and combinations, one of their best works for sure.

Good game, its musou style so the combat is fast and fun and the game acts as a sequel to Persona 5

When Persona 5 Royal was announced in Japan they also announced Persona 5 Strikers (Persona 5 Scramble in Japan). Ever since that day I have been following this game and its development. This game is the best Dynasty Warriors spinoff game I have ever played. The combat is well-refined, there is a solid story in the game that uses scrapped story concepts from Persona 5 which was executed perfectly, the music in this game is AMAZING as always, everything about this game is phenomenal! Surprisingly it took me around 50 hours to finish the game where I thought it was going to take around 25-30 hours. Aside from a smaller story there are so many missions and exploration to do in certain parts of Japan you visit in the game which just like in Persona 5, are picture perfect replicas of real cities and places in Japan. Before playing this game I highly recommend picking up Persona 5 Royal to learn about each of the Phantom Thieves and their backstories. This is a sequel game as stated in the title of my review. Persona 5 Strikers exceeded my expectations in every way and I cannot recommend this game enough!

Persona 5 mixed with Dynasty Warriors style works really well. Story is good, music was the BEST. Level platform kind of get repetitive after the 3rd Jail. I got the steelbook which was nice quality. I haven't checked out the digital goodies since I'm still on the last level.

If you loved Persona 5/ P5R or just Persona in general then buy this. Its a direct sequel to P5 so the added stuff in P5R is irrelevant to strikers however this is fine as what is new is really well done. The visuals are great, the music slaps (as always), the characters are awesome, gameplay is fun, and the story is almost better than the base game's. It barely feels like a dynasty warrior game and more like a true sequel to P5 besides the change in gameplay from turn based to hack N slash. However I enjoy/ welcome the change in gameplay and additions made. Everything about this game is really good!

Excellent Sequel To An Amazing Game! There’s just a few nitpicks I have. One for a Persona game it’s really short my final playtime wound up around 45 hours. I expected something more along the lines of 80-100 hours. The other issue I have is that the side quests are kinda dull. Aside from that though The Combat is stylish AF, The story is better than base P5 and the new characters are really good additions to the franchise. Overall I’d give it 4.5 stars Aka 9/10

    Good P5 Sequel

overall good sequel to p5, but in my opinion, it's expectedly not as great as p5r, especially considering how great the third semester was. p5s took me about 30 hours to beat, while p5r took me 120, so don't expect pouring the same amount of hours into this as p5r for a first playthrough. pros: music was amazing as usual! same with voice acting. the new characters introduced were great too; the new detective introduced is a breath of fresh air and honestly grew to become one of my favorite characters of p5. the side quests involving other members of the PT are actually pretty fun to do. i'd recommend doing all of them, even if you have no intention of doing any side quests. i REALLY liked that the jails added more character development to some members of the PT, which was desperately needed in Haru and maybe even Yusuke's case. again, p5s is a good sequel, and i genuinely did have fun playing it! cons: no mention of kasumi, but i guess that's understandable; i just wish there was at least one mention of anything that was in the third semester. antagonists of this game aren't as memorable as in p5r, but they're still good. plot is alright. it was nothing mindblowing since it uses similar plot points/tropes of the original which made stuff predictable. gameplay wasn't really my thing, so i didn't take time to grind other party members. that made things really awkward by the end, since the main 3 PT i used were at the recommended level while the others were literally sitting at level 20. if you end up liking the gameplay, you shouldn't run into this issue. the party ai could use some work. it's super frustrating in some boss battles, but generally ok in standard fights. tldr; good sequel. buy this if you liked p5r.

Fantastic sequel to the original Persona 5

Summary: Fantastic sequel to the original Persona 5 Pros: - This game change up the typical Dynasty Warriors (musou) gameplay style and incorporated alot of Persona and RPG elements, making it refreshing and fun. - The stories may not be up to the original Persona 5 or Royal level, but it is still very very solid. - The new characters are great. - Each persona gives the main protagonist slightly different move set, making them feel unique. - The game runs really really well and smooth. - Jails (palaces in this game) does not has a time limit. You can exit/re-enter as much as you want. You can also re-visit past jails if you like. - More phantom thieves! What's not to like? Cons: - No social links in this one, and hence no dating element either. - Platinum trophy can be a grind

    A Satisfying Sequel

For fans of Persona 5 and warriors-like gameplay, this entry is a must-play in the series. P5S combines the best parts of both the Persona and the Dynasty Warriors series, from the stylistic turn-based moves of Persona to the high octane hack-and-slash combat of Dynasty Warriors. This game is a direct sequel to the original Persona 5 game. (For individuals who've played P5 Royal, there are certain events in that edition of P5 that are not canon in P5S). Aside from the satisfying gameplay, I enjoyed following the story of the original characters from P5, and seeing what happens to them after the original game. All in all, a very worthwhile buy for many hours of entertainment.

I’m going to start and say that if you’re a big fan of the Persona series then Strikers is worth a pick up. The story is really good and it’s awesome to be reunited to the P5 cast again. I knew that the English voice cast would deliver a killer performance again and they did not disappoint. Even the new characters like Zenkichi and Sophia are done excellently. For those that are worried that the game is to button mashy like other “Warrior’s” games fear not because you have to use the more tactical elements from the Persona series like knowing your enemies weaknesses and using buffs and debuffs to win the more difficult fights. Also the soundtrack is killer which is no surprise since it’s a Persona game.

New take on the Persona 5 franchise

A sequel of sorts to Persona 5. Persona 5 Strikers has the whole team of Thieves returning a few months after the events of the Persona 5. This game plays a lot differently to P5. More like a Dynasty Warriors/Kingdom Hearts game than the normal turn based rpg of the original. Some people might be turned off by the chaos of live action with many enemies on the screen. Oddly enough it works well. Easy to learn but still has a bit of variety in how you can attack, chain together combos, and use Personas to attack. If you played the first game or Royal then this is a must have if you want to continue the story. Give or take 40+ hour game.

I just finished this and I may somehow have liked the story even better than the first one...but it does take some time to pick up. Overall this game isn't quite as good as P5, but it's also not 100 hours long. I think this part actually helped the story overall as there is thankfully no dive into mementos this time around. The original game had more meat as far as social links and stuff, but honestly I didn't miss it. This game is 100% a worthy sequel and felt like meeting up with an old friend. They absolutely NAILED the feel of the original.
