bought this for my sister so she can watch her dogs while at work except I can't get it to Bluetooth pair to my phone or hers and without that Bluetooth pair you can control nothing on this unit I'm on my second one now don't waste your time

I originally purchased this to be able to keep an eye on my 9 year old boxer, Penny, who recently began having seizures. In the month that we've owned our Petcube, it has truly benefited all of our pets! Setup of the camera and the app is simple and intuitive, and only took a few moments. The Camera quality isn't HD or anything, but it's good. It is more than suitable to keep an eye on your pet. The sound quality takes a little bit of time to master. You need to speak slowly and softly, at normal indoor levels. As long as you have a decent mic on your phone (we have Galaxy Note Edges), the Petcube speaker will do a fine job of relaying your voice. If you shout into your phone or speak too quickly, your voice becomes hard to understand from the Petcube. There is only a slight lag from phone to petcube, which is to be expected when connecting remotely. The laser is fun for both humans and pets. We have tons of fun with this! The laser is easy to control with your finger, via the app. You simply move your finger over the video feed, and the laser moves with it. Again, there is a small delay, but it's to be expected. While our intention in purchasing the Petcube was to keep an eye on our older dog, we quickly found that our younger pup, a 3 year old pit named Loki, has separation anxiety. We would have never known without the Petcube! He cries after we leave. The laser helped alleviate this, as did occasionally telling him "Hello", and that he is a good boy. We also have a cat, Ella, who practically lives in our oldest daughter's room. When our daughter goes to visit family in Florida a few times a year, the cat is usually inconsolable, and cries incessantly for her missing roommate. Over Spring Break, we set up the Petcube in my daughter's room. She played with the cat a minimum of once a day (using the laser), and it was the first time ever that Ella wasn't upset while Emily was away. This thing is amazing, and you will not regret purchasing it. I have been and will continue to recommend it to all of my pet-loving friends.

Customer service tried various techniques but camera did not worked therefore returned it back to best buy store. Very disappointed and wasted time

About a year and a half ago, I moved out of my family’s home in New York to sunny California; along with a new life, I also had to get used to not seeing my puppy Madison everyday. Occasionally I would get photo updates from my mom, but it wasn’t the same. When I found PetCube, I wanted to try it out to see if it could bridge the gap that I now had with my dog. After trying it out for a few months, I can say overall I love the connection I can have again with her. Pros The video quality of the camera is great along with the sound being very clear. I love the app and how I don’t need to be at a computer to check in with Madison. It’s very convenient to just be able to boot up my app on my phone whenever. I also like that I can take my own pics of Maddie now instead of waiting for new ones to be texted to me. the community feature is pretty neat so I can see others’ pets too :). and I didn’t set it up myself (I had to ship it home to where Madison is) so I don’t have personal experience setting it up, but my mom was able to get the job done so that’s a plus. Cons While my end of receiving audio is very good, my dog was getting confused when she heard me talk. Like she would be looking for me and couldn’t find me. I guess this doesn’t really count as a con of PetCube, but it was sad seeing my dog walk around for me haha. Also the video quality in low-light could be improved. I saw that the next version of PetCube is fixing this so I’m looking forward to seeing that performance. My mom said that the PetCube did not come with a hard-copy of the manual so she had to look it up online when setting up the PetCube. Lastly, the laser wasn’t the most fun toy with my dog because she wouldn’t notice the laser on the ground, but I suppose this is more a feature for cat owners! Overall, I’d say the PetCube gets the job done for what I wanted it for which was to be able to easily check-in on my dog whenever I started to miss her. The app’s interface is easy to use, and in almost no time at all, I’m getting a direct connection to home :)

When I bought this product, the first thing my husband asked what was the difference between a regular CCTV vs this pet camera. When we started to explore pet cube, that's when we were beyond amazed what it can do. It's competitive advance is its pet interactive feature. From our app, we can be able to see what our cat's up to and we can actually play with her through laser. We already have a manual laser where we used to play with our cat. But with pet cube, laser game can be done from the app. And its because things are linked through the app, it makes it much easier. Also, there's a social feature into it because we have an option to let other people play with our cat through pet cube. This product is very useful for us especially when we travel because we would like to know how's our pet-- for our peace of mind. We started recommending this to our friends. It's very practical and serve our needs.

Sakeho Lafayette ca Addicting March 4, 2016 I told my husband that I was getting one and he wasn't thrilled at first. We've now had it for a few days and he is obsessed with it. It was easy to hook up to my Samsung and his Apple. The quality of picture is very clear. We are just having so much fun watching our Harry! It's king of like Facebook for pet.

Just received this petcube a few days ago and I LOVE it! I can easily play and check up on my kitty on the go. You even get a view into what your cat does while you are gone!! Really cool product, feels like I should've had one for years!

Nice camera to view pets while away. Still getting accustomed to use as I'm rarely away. You can see and speak to your pets and they hear you. This particular version doesn't have night vision so you cannot obtain visual in the dark (new one does). They have a laser light to play with your pet however, laser doesn't really reach far enough to really play. Over all, it does what I bought it to do. My only desire is that there were more instruction as to how to set network to private as I'm not sure if other pet cube users can view my pets in the current settings my cube is in. I notice some users are set to private but I'm not sure if mine is or how to make it private.

The best thing I've ever bought for me and my cat! My cat lives with my parents and I miss him a lot. And Petcube is the best way to see him and play with him more often. Also, it took only under 10 minutes to connect everything and install the application. After installing the app I was fascinated by playing with other pets :)

The Petcube was super easy to setup and I really like the clean design. The app works great and I like I can now check on my cat while at work or even traveling. Being able to interact with them via the laser and the sound option is really cool too. If you love cool new gadgets and have a pet you'd like to keep an eye on during the day, this is a great option.

I love this product. It is super nice to be able to watch my dog remotely. It is also very easy to set up and use. Their support team is also wonderful if you need help during set-up.

Quality product, although there are better products on the market now

Don't waste your money. I purchased this Petcube at Best Buy, but it would not connect to my wifi after 1.5 hours on the phone with Petcube's "call center" support. I was put on hold countless time while the lady researched my issues. It didn't work, so Petcube shipped out another Petcube Camera. I'm having the same issues with it connecting to my wifi.... yet everything else connects to my wifi. Support advised me I must have a 2.4GHz router (I do), turn off the firewall (uncomfortable with that, but okay), and turn off the WPS. I did all those things and it still doesn't work. I'm returning this ASAP and going with a regular surveillance camera.

The Petcube was just okay. I have had connection issues all along and error messages a lot with this one. I have a friend who has one to with the same issues so I think it is known problem. Well today, it just stopped connecting and I have reset everything from re-installing the app to my phone to resetting the petcube. Still will not connect. Have contacted support and have not heard anything as of yet. I believe there are better systems out there that are more reliable than the Petcube.
