Customers highly value the ease of use and backlit keys of this 8-device universal remote. Many appreciate having one remote for multiple devices and find the illuminated buttons helpful, especially at night. However, some users experienced compatibility issues with certain devices and reported shorter-than-expected battery life. The backlight feature, while appreciated by many, may contribute to faster battery drain.

Great universal remote. Its so easy to program. I love that it has bluetooth, so all you have to do is download their app from the app store (google play on my case) and then you pair it with your phone or tablet and you can start programming the remote. It was easy to add my TV, Soundbar, 4k Bluray player, Apple 4k TV and Xbox series X (yes, most xboxes have an IR receiver on the fron, so it can control it too).
Apart from adding all your devices, you can also program "scenes" or like use scenarios on the remote. In example, I created one called 4K bluray movies, and what I told it to do basically is: turn on my TV, then turn on the soundbar and then the bluray 4k player, all at the same time, so you don't need to turn on each (granted, most devices support HDMI CEC and may turn on, sometimes CEC is a pain, depending on the devices compatibility with each other, with this way, you are turning them on or on based on a signal from the universal remote).
I also love the illuminated buttons, the only con is, I wish it would turn on based on movement, because you have to actually press a button for it to illuminate. Another con, and this comes kind of related to the first con for not having a movement or gyrometer, is it cannot control my LG OLED tv with it, as you know, must high end LG tvs have a magic remote, where you move the cursor based on movement, well can't do that. It will still control some basic things via its directional buttons, but I wish it had that feature.
In short, this remote has helped me get rid of 4 remotes (plus the xbox controller when wanting to use the box just for media). Highly recommend it!

Honestly I was looking for a remote to replace the one the came with my Samsung TV and found this light waight light on back ground for night time Bluetooth remote I was impressed of the speed and quick response when using this remote even better it also works with my fire tv cube even better than the boring remote it comes with so I now use one remote instead of 2 if you are looking for a remote to control this is a magnificent choice

It worked on some of my devices, but I couldn't let it fully functional for my LG TV. Besides, it drains the battery too fast. We have already changed two pairs of batteries in two months and a half.

This programmable remote has reduced my anxiety for losing the original remote to things.
For starters, it can be programmed with up to 8 devices. I programmed mine to a Hisense TV and an Xbox One X! To program this remote, you have to download an app. From there, turn on the Bluetooth in the remote and pair it with your phone. After pairing, the app will search for codes that match your TV or whatever device you’re trying to pair. It first found a working code for my Hisense 4K TV. However, I got some questions like, “Do you input buttons work.” I tried and they didn’t, so the app prompted me to continue doing an auto search for another code. The second code worked automatically including the input and menu options.
Next, I paired it to my Xbox and now I can turn on my Xbox and just use it as a streaming device. I can hold the power button on the remote like I would an Xbox controller and turn it off as well.
Lastly, I enjoy the universal volume set up. What that does is it controls the volume to a device of your choice regardless of what mode your controller is on. This allows me to control my Xbox and it’s apps while raising or lowering the TV volume without changing the controller to TV mode.
Overall, I love this controller and it’s my new go-to for universal remotes.

Like that it's backlit however haven't found to turn down the light, and wish it had the live button to get back to what it's currently on instead of fast forwarding back.

I wouldn't recommend this product for a smart TV. You cannot type characters on the TV. It has limited functionality with typing characters.

It works, sort of. It'll turn your tv on and off. Volume, channels, all the very basic stuff works fine. It's the more complicated stuff that seems to gwt lost in the mix. Like bringing up the apps menu will launch Netflix, so you have to close thatbapp and then the app menu appears. May be different for other brands but it's a little annoying for mine.

I bought this as it appeared you could use it to replace a bluetooth smart tv remote. It cant. Only the roku feature uses blietooth, so im left with the weakest, most inreliable IR emitter ive ever seen. Aim carefully or no response! Sometimes you have to keep pressing buttons u til it finally works, sometimes youll notice the backlight flickering and have to "tap" it on the coffee table to get it back online. Already replaced the batteries once after two weeks. Just aweful. Goes back, ordering factory original. Easy to set up, impossible to use.

The remote goes through batteries quickly and will not stay programmed. It was purchased because, with its Bluetooth connectivity, you can use an app on your phone to find it, but that function rarely works. I would have returned it, but it got lost and I couldn't find it before the return window had expired.

Does not handle all my devices. Does not work as expected. I had a Logitech for many years that was flawless. The numbers were wearing off. It could not be replaced. Very disappointed with Philips. Nothing compares to my Logitech.

Bought a ROKU device for one of our TVs and we wanted to have one remote for the TV, ROKU and the audio system. This one from Philips was reasonably priced and easy to program using a smartphone. Now, one remote controls everything including a DVD player.
