Well I have not had many blenders so this is fairly new experience for me.
Initially when removing it from its container I was surprised how well made and solid it seemed. It also is very large so initially I set it up in the kitchen but it dwarfed everything nearby lol.
I love the one touch smoothie button makes everything so simple to make! and makes great soups as well. VERY powerful!
Noise level is also great I think its due to the shield maybe? But it is fast and not as noisy as I would expect.
After seeing the value of this my wife has agreed to leave it as our show piece and we seem to use it alot more then we thought we would!

Love this blender!
Perfect for homemade smoothies, ice cream, protein shakes, and soup. Everything is always perfectly blended, and ice is quickly and easily incorporated into anything and everything you want to make! It even comes with a recipe book so you can use this blender to its full potential. I had no idea you could also make soup with it!
This machine has managed to replace my food processor and blender, which definitely needed to be updated. This blender is super powerful.
My favorite part is how quiet it is given the power! It has the dome that goes over the entire blender to silence any noise. This blender is pretty noisy without the dome, but that is expected given the power of this machine. The silencer works so well though that noise is not really a concern here.
Only downside is the blender is fairly large and takes up a bit of counter space. Considering I have retired my old food processor as well, I think it’s a good tradeoff.
Since I got this blender, I’ve been using it daily, and I expect to continue to use it daily. The uses are endless!

Does take up quite a bit of counter space but the hood work as stated with noise reduction. Comes with a recipe book for smoothies, almond milk, nut butters, frozen yogurt and more. I tried a larger sized ice and it did seem to be too much for it so I wouldn't try that anymore unless it's smaller chunks or not frozen as hard. It was a store bought bag ice. So far I've made lots of smoothies and almond milk which was perfectly blended every time. I absolutely love it especially during times when I have a liquid only diet.

I have only used regular blenders and I have owned a Ninja for years now. The Ninja was for my smothies and sometimes drinks. It chopped up ice and frozen fruit just fine (as long as there was enough liquid).
I don't find this high-powered Philips blender to be as spectacular as all these glowing reviews. In fact, I am pretty disappointed.
Some basics: this thing is huge; the helmet makes it extra bulky. Nonetheless, I expected it to be big, so that was not a surprise. It has an on/off switch on the side. It has settings in the front for different types of blending (i.e., soup, soft serve, smoothie, etc.). Additionally, it has a dial for you to set your own speed for blending, 0-10. It comes with a blender cover, helmet for the whole blender (to keep it quiet so they say), and a tamper (also useless... for me anyway). You can remove the circle on the helmet and on the blender lid to stuff the temper in there.
My experience:
1- I made broccoli cheddar soup with broccoli, onions, carrots, heavy cream, shredded cheddar cheese; and it came out great. It pulverized everything well.
2- I made ice cream from a recipe I found online. Yuck! That came out terrible. I don't even remember the ingredients; no ice though; but there was some frozen fruit involved, oh, and coconut milk, sugar, and heavy cream (maybe that was everything). This blender struggled a bit with the frozen fruit. Hmph.
3- I made a smoothie from a recipe in the book. It included frozen pineapple (I added peaches), apples, ginger ale (that was weird), another liquid (can't remember what), and I added simple syrup (too much actually) for sweetness. I can't remember if ice was involved. The flavor was fine but it tasted like flavored applesauce, so no thank you. This Philips blender struggled with the blending. It even overheated. I had to unplug it and plug it back in to continue. How aburd.
4- I tried another ice cream, this time I kept it simple, vanilla. I used milk ice cubes, milk, powdered sugar, vanilla bean and some chopped milky way. This thing really struggled with the blending, with the ice. Sheesh. It kept overheating and not chopping all the ice. It made no sense. It could not chop the ice, but it over-chopped my milky way. I had to toss an ice cube that did not get chopped up. Thanks.
For all the foods I tried, I used the tamper. the annoying thing about the tamper is that it is too short. For my vanilla ice cream, I had to used a spoon instead of the tamper.
Noisy level - Loud! It is no quieter than my super loud Ninja. And I use the helmet; speaking of which, I struggled to get the helmet on at first.
Also, the blender lid does not come off easily.
I can only be honest about my opinion of this Philips blender. It DOESN'T blend/pulverize ice!
I'm glad that this works out well for others, but for me, it was a big let down. Including the recipe book. It is one of the worst recipe books ever. All the recipes seem like they are vegan inspired.
That's all I remember and all I got. I do not recommend this.

I've been using an old vitamix and nutribullet for most of my blending needs, especially for smoothies. Thought I was pretty content with what I was drinking until I tried this blender. It blends things so smoothly, I can hardly tell I have a bunch of seeds inside the smoothies which often was a little textured or grainy on the other blenders. The only thing that seems a little useless is the lid for noise blocking. It's a little bulky, and unless you're putting these blenders in businesses, I don't feel the need for them during home-use. Overall very content with the blender and is worth every penny!
