Surprised with the actual quality & ease of the setup process. Usually I buy Samsung electronics but thought I'd try the Philips since I could return it if I wasn't satisfied. The unit was up and running within aa few minutes and produced outstanding results. I watched my favorite 3D movie Avatar which played and displayed the movie wonderfully. I will not be returning this player as I'm very happy with it.

I first had the Samsung 4K 8500 player. The picture quality of that player was better than the Phillips. However I returned it because the remote control was small and did not offer as much functionality as the Phillips and it would not play all of my 3d movies. I had 3d blu ray's that it would only play in 3d, even though the same disc worked fine in my PS3 which can play 3d movies.. The remote for the Phillips feels and acts like a real remote; however the player itself is slow to load movies, like really slow on some movies. It does not upscale as good as the Samsung either. Unfortunately, the only other outside of these two costs $600, which is not worth the extra money.

Excellent compact 4K blu ray player with great upscaling of DVD's and blu-rays.

I refuse to get anything with the Samsung name on it and the Panasonic was too expensive but this player was the right price. It works great but the reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the running time is not displayed on the player. I have to press info twice on the remote to see how much time has elapsed.

Plays everything put in it. Compact in size. Great picture

I like the fact that this unit is small and doesn't take up a lot of space in my cabinet. Yes, it can take a little bit to load the disc, but any player where you're reading off of a disc will be that way. Very glad I bought this instead of the Samsung or Panasonic.

I am happy with my recent purchase of the BDP7501 player. The quality is very good and the price was right. I did not want the Samsung player because it had a curved front and the other available 4k players were too expensive. This is a good option. The one thing I have to say is that this little unit is bigger than it looks

I DIDN'T THINK HDR WAS ALL THAT, UNTIL I CHANGE MY HDMI SETTING TO ENHANCED THEN I NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE (4:4:4 10BIT). I WAS WAITING ON PANASONIC UNTIL I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS PLAYER, GREAT ENTRY LEVEL PLAYER. ONLY HAVE TWO STREAMING APP WHICH ISN'T A PROBLEM FOR ME, MY SONY X930C HAS THAT COVERED. GLAD I RETURNED SAMSUNG 4K PLAYER

This 4k player runs nice and quiet. It comes with a hdmi cable and a movie. I checked out reviews of other 4k players and this one came out on top for price and ratings. This machine is also good for watching blu ray movies as well, it upscales them to near 4k quality. I would highly recommend this machine.

I was excited to start buying UHD movies ever since they were announced, but there wasn't much choice as far as players go (Still waiting on Sony personally) and I wasn't ready to spend $400 on a player I wasn't really excited about. The Philips - BDP7501 4k Ultra HD player was the perfect option for me. A great price point, a free UHD movie included and to my surprise, a really solid player. This compact player has UHD and 3D playback, built in wifi, a super clean interface and very fast load times, even on the UHD movies. If you're thinking about entering the UHD world, but are not 100% sure about investing in a higher priced player, look no further. This is really a great UHD player!

This UHD player has an Archaic user interface but it does what is suppose to do for the price, play UHD DVD. Load movies very fast and it does all the other thing more t expensive player can do, if you are looking for an affordable UHD DVD player this is the one. No regrets.

YES, you can obviously watch 4k DVD content. Because the player is also smart watching 4k content from Netflix or YouTube is much better translated to my 4k TV. There is a big difference between watching 4k processed on 4k smart Tv and 4k processed from 4k stream direct. Well done Philips!

Very sturdy and compact player, not as bulky as the Samsung 8500. Only has two apps including Netflix, but its not a problem as my TV has additional apps.Disc reading is a bit slow but it too is not that big of a deal. Its a basic 4K Blu ray player and does that very well.

No problems hooking it up to my Sony 850C 4K TV. The only negative is only two apps - Netflix and YouTube. Currently YouTube on my network does not play in full 4K resolution as it does on my attached Sony Android TV. For the Black Friday price I paid it can't be beat.

Combine this 4k player with a Epson 5040/6040 4k projector & a 102" screen +3d, add Atmos surround sound,+ 4k movie, you will never need to replace this system for along time. Incredible, enjoyable, tough to beat. :-)

I have bought 2 of these. It is a nice 4K player that won't break the bank. You can't play burned discs on this player, so i would recommend keeping around a DVD/Bluray player for those kinds of discs, but it does play DVD and Blu Ray discs and upscales the picture nicely.
