Purchased specifically to pair with my Epson 6040UB and get full 4k HDR. This player is good, only downfall is the lack of apps... only Netflix and youtube. but since i purchased it only to get HDR 4k with my Epson when using Disks, this is great.

This player is the best bang for your buck, if your source is mainly Bluray and UHD disks. The interface is pretty much like the UB900 (which is 3 times the cost). If you want a player crammed with streaming options, then look elsewhere.

been waiting for a decent priced 4k player to come along,caught this on sale n then thru a much troublesome price adjustment ended up paying 150,its a bit of a basic model,but has served my needs well,dependable ,n very nice picture,even on most dvds

Not a lot of " bells and whistles," but does a great job of playing 4K discs, standard Blu-ray Discs, and DVDs without any hiccups. Connected to my Hisense tv with no issues. It does what it's supposed to do, and does it flawlessly. Very satisfied.

I had every intent of purchasing a different unit, but read online reviews on the clumsy remote. This unit was less expensive with an easy to use remote! The picture is incredible! Hope the he dvd's go down in price in the future!

Movies look great, 300 dollars for a DVDs player seems a bit excessive but I could only find two on the market and they were both the same price point. The DVDs tray seems to hesitate opening but other than that it works fine.

Very pleased with this product. Great visuals, great product.

The player so far has worked flawlessly playing DVDs and Blu-Rays - it even played one that no longer played on my Samsung Blu-Ray player. The remote has a nice size and feel, but the buttons are hard to read and not lighted.

This little bad boy is pretty amazing. I have it connected to my Epson 5040ub projector and it has been flawless so far. The only thing I wish it had was Amazon streaming. It only comes with Netflix and Youtube.

I only have two 4K movies and the Philips player plays them perfectly. Great picture and sound. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't seem to up convert standard blue ray movies any better than my Play Station 3.

I have so many BluRays that I needed a player that focused on upscaling and functionality. This is the best for the price and just excels at pumping out superb detail. YouTube button is a plus as I'm tired of Netflix.

1st things 1st I paid $159. And there isn't a better player in the market for that price and I own 6 4k movies this player has shown all 6 and very sharp great player that works every time fast operation no complaints

This is a wonderful piece of hardware although I would have liked to have bought the Samsung player but it was a bit pricey this player has a very good picture

Ungainly looking but compact. Slow loading but reliable. Nice remote. I've played many movies including Blu Rays, DVDs and some UHDs with HDR. A very good meat and potatoes box. Recommended!

Heavy weight construction. Not cheap and lightweight like most players these days. 4 k movies are awesome and I like the fact that this player tells you if a disc is playing in 4 k or not.

GOT THIS PLAYER WITH SOME DOUBTS, BUT AFTER WATCHING MY FIRST 4K MOVIE, I HAVE NO MORE DOUBTS, PROBABLY THE BEST 4K PLAYER OUT THERE... IF YOUR LOOKING, DONT LOOK TO HARD, THIS IS THE PLAYER YOU WANT...

Took it back because it is not as good as the other reviews made it out to be. Interface is like a $50 player from 15 years ago. Very unimpressed with Blu Ray playback which is 90% of my collection and 4k playback was ho-hum. Ended up getting Samsung player and Xbox One S both which had better overall playback with awesome Blu Ray support. Out of the 3 the Xbox One has the best overall playback with Samsung having the best interface.

I love the size of this thing, I also have the Samsung UHD player but it's much wider. The network player doesn't play a lot of formats. I'm no even sure what formats it can play.

the 4k disc player works awesome... i was happy to see all that i expected of this model... phillips is a good brand... doesnt offer a lot in apps but makes up for it in color and deffinition

Would like it to have more features, it does have great picture quality. It has a separate HDMI output for audio, useful for connecting to receivers that are not 4k capable.
