We have used the older version of the Hue lightstrips (the original ones without Bluetooth), and these seem a little more sturdy. They are working great as our under-counter lights in the kitchen. It's so much easier to tell Alexa to turn them on than it is to walk across the great room to the weird corner light switch the electrician put in when the house was built. Seriously, who puts the under-counter light switch on the other side of the house?

Excited to hook it up I unboxed the strip to notice no double sided tape was included! Ok that's fine this is a refurb unit, let it pass. Once hooked up to power I noticed a strip of LED lights on the last segment of color were off. I went ahead and continued setting up the hue app played with the different setting to only notice the last segment of lights were still not changing! After further review I noticed the lead was pinched and short-circuit. I'm not happy with this refurb unit and would not recommend buying best. Just cough up the extra $20 and buy a new sealed unit. My first mistake was believing Geek Squad certified that should of indicated not to trust BB and just buy a new sealed box. Headed to my local BestBuy tomorrow and getting a full refund.
