Probably a pretty good device a few years ago but it’s 0% worth buying if you have a modern setup. $200+ for this device is insane for what it’s able to do, still uses last gen hdmi specifications.

Has promise but inconsistent and no support

I received the item Jan 31st. I contacted Hue support on 2/4 because it didn't always start syncing lights to the content on the screen. It took a week of back and forth chatting with Hue support, with half a day in between responses, to get them to finally put a ticket in with technical support. It's 2/26 and I still have not heard back from Hue support other than they have not heard back from technical support. I have to go through major work arounds to get the lights to sync with my xbox or any video content. To get the syncing to start with 4k HDR content, I have to start a SDR video first, then I can back out of that video and start the 4k HDR content. If I want it to sync with my Xbox Series X, i have to start a SDR video, then a 4k HDR video and then switch over to my Series X and hope that it will start working then. I don't know if my sync box is broken or incompatible with my devices but I may never know because I can't get any support.

Cool to have if you are okay with lower video spec

The video quality wasn't what I needed for my intended use. Pass through video wasnt 4k or 120 fps. It was fairly cool when working, but the drop in video wasnt worth the trade off.

ARC Problems

You can’t use arc for the ps5 or other devices when connected to the sync box. The lights work fine but you’ll have audio trouble
