  • Great deal for those with a Hue Bridge

    This is great for those who are already intertwined with the Hue ecosystem and don't need another Hue bridge. For those new to Hue and don't have a Hue bridge thought, they will actually NOT be out of luck as these bulbs now pack Bluetooth and can be controlled via the Hue Bluetooth app. This approach def does NOT scale though as you buy more bulbs and I would recommend that you buy a Hue Bridge at that point.

    I like Philips hue. I know their bulbs are expensive compared to the competition, but I am already invested in their walled ecosystem and I'm willing to pay for it. I found it a bit annoying I couldn't find these bulbs through auto search and had to type in their IDs, but now that they're paired they work just fine. Great promo price for them too.
