I purchased this kit to see if I was really interested in Hue for light automation in my home. I setup this kit in our Master Bedroom and use the Hue app to set an alarm to have both lights (on our nightstands) turn on gradually to supplement the alarm clock. I appreciate the HomeKit integration and also use the included remote. Since purchasing this kit, I have bought 3 Hue full color lights (for our front entry) 8 BR30 white ambiance for can lights in the kitchen, I lightstrip plus and an extension, 4 more white ambiance bulbs (for random lamps), and 2 more wireless remotes. All in all, this is a great starter kit, and a good way to toe into the ecosystem. I do wish the remote could be set to control a specific group of lights, rather than an entire room (I you must shut off all of the lights in the room, I haven't found a way to control groups of lights - without going to another 3rd party app). Also, sometimes the automation/routines I've setup in HomeKit don't always trigger, but they do always work in the Hue app. Unfortunately, the Hue app doesn't have a sunrise/sunset trigger like the HomeKit app does. If the HomeKit integration was more reliable and the remote could control groups of lights via the native Hue (or HomeKit App), this would have earned 5 stars.

Finally, a Philips Hue Kit made for me. This product is perfect for anyone looking for smart lights feature without all the extras like colored lights. The lights are dimmable, which is a huge plus. The dimmer switch is a nice attachment.

Why did it take me so long to set up my smart home. Should have jumped the gun long ago. It's something you don't think you need until you have it and can't live without it. The dimming nightlight and other modes are a blessing as well.

Extremely easy to use and set up. The app has a lot of options and there is quite a bit of third party apps that give even more options. It works really great with Apple Homekit and the new Home app on iOS 10. Great product!

It's awesome! I believe the people who buy HueLight have bigger expectations for the future. This is what we have FOR NOW. Is just fun to talk to Siri and not having to stand up in the middle of a movie to turn off the lights (I do ir directly through AppleTV) Don't make it a priority, but if you can, go buy it innovator!

I love these lights. The different whites all look amazing, the dimmer function works perfectly, and easy setup out of the box. Works with Amazon echo as well. I plan on getting more for my whole house. Highly recommend.

This starter kit is exactly what I was looking for. Our living room does not have central lighting, and now that's no longer a huge issue! We can control the lights with the switch, our phones, or our Google home!

Love the ability to control lights with a remote. Even better using the app on my phone which works great . And best of all is having Alexa pair with it and give voice commands to turn lights on and off.

The starter kit integrates well with my entertainment system. I rarely use the dimmer switch. I will eventually use the switch in another room to use with the other hue lights that I purchased. Is this kit worth the full price? I do not know. I used my bestbuy rewards to purchase the kit. After purchasing, I bought four individual hue lights for other rooms. If you decide to get into home automation, take your time, it can get very expensive. I have the Amazon echo controlling the lights.

Replaced my X10 lamp modules with Hue bulbs. Love not worrying about finding dimmers that work with bulbs. It's all built into the bulb now. Many options for controlling. I use my Logitech Harmony remote.

Nice color changes. Had a few hiccups installing the lights with various apps (Iphone and Google Home).

I love using the Philips Hue as my night stand lights! It automatically starts turning on at a set time in the morning in resemblance to sunlight! It really helps me wake up in the morning!

My wife had bought new lamps and we would have to go to each one to turn them on and off. This item has made it so simple to just ask Siri. Also comes with a light switch and is so easy to set up

This product was purchased to set up a simple and easy to operate smart light system. Since this purchase, additional lights have been added. Easy to use and keep the app current.

This is a great starter kit for the Hue Series. Does not change colors like the $200 one, but it has great functionality. It comes with the dimmer switch which is handy when your phone is not nearby. Setup was simple: Plugged everything in, loaded the app, followed directions and everything worked!

This was the gateway drug. I now own 30+ Hue lights and accessories. Great product. It was only starter kit at time, I’d get a color starter kit if purchasing now.

Works very well. Easy to set up and use. I am planning to get two more white ambiance bulbs to add to my home. I use the lights in my office to relax and give the room the perfect ambiance.
