After taking the plunge I have been more than ecstatic about my decision. I placed them in older cans and I have not missed a beat. I love the app and ability to control from my phone. The bulb is larger than the normal bulb of same specs. I thought i got the wrong bulb at first lol! No worries, It fit and they are awesome.

I like these, but they don't get very dim

I put these in a track fixture above our bar though and love them. I like the ability to activate individual spots on the track and alext works well so I don't even need to open the app to change the lighting. Like all Hue bulbs, they are pricey but fun!
