Colors not so good, go for next gen (gen 3) for more realistic and vibrant colors. Still works ok.

As other people have pointed out, these bulbs are not as good as the first gen ones. The colors are vivid and bright, but they just don’t seem to have the range that the older ones had. I have these in my kitchen, as I wanted a more white light. Being photophobic (certain color spectrum lights can hurt my eyes for prolonged times, and even some can cause headaches in a very short amount of time of exposure), color changing bulbs are a godsend, especially when I am cooking dinner or whatever. I just wish that I could tweak the colors like I do on my old ones, which are in my bedroom. I got these on a deal of the day, 1/2 price special, so I cannot complain too much. However, I would have to think twice about buying them at full price. Pros are that they are color changing and I can control them with Siri. Cons, see above.

These bulbs have a nice tone of color and pretty much does what it says. You can buy the hub separately to control more than one bulb at once but if you just use a bulb for one room, then it's not necessary. Works great alone. Also, these tend to go on sale quite a bit through best buy daily deals. Recommend waiting for a good sale.

I added this to my kitchen/above sink in addition to a bunch of A19 bulbs I have throughout the house -- worked as a great replacement to a CFL bulb I was using and now I have color in the kitchen as well. Good product, easy to set up and maintain.

Phillips hue lights are really easy to set up and these are no different. Very bright with lots of colors to play around with. I got these half price so the value is good. I would not pay $50 for one bulb. Even $25 is a little high but I'm happy with it.

Bought 8 Gen 2 color lights. These are slightly brighter than the first generation. Easy setup, plenty of colors to choose from, works well with google assistant.

What I like about it, I like being able to change the colors on it. One con (for me personally), the ray is very narrow and focused. Other than that I like the product.

Have 6 of these in my kitchen and love them. Bright and were easy to install and connected without issue to the hub.

These went right into the current ceiling lights, and were easy to use. Could easily chance level of white for ambiance, or add color for fun

The bulb is very easy to connect to the Hue and Amazon app. It's nice to change the colors and have a little fun.

I order this one online. It can do as it said but only the different package. At first I thought it was refurbished product. So I went back to Bestbuy store to make sure. It was out of stock so I don’t have anything to compare. But the staff had checked the serial number and barcode for me to verify. It’s a new product. If you purchase it and not sure about it you can verify that at the store. Apparently I’m not the first one with the idea.

When I purchased these lights I knew what I was getting having purchased hue lights in the past. Boy was I wrong. These are better than expected. My first foray into colored hue lights is a happy one. Better than I expected. The combination of things you can program are endless. If you’ve been on the fence about getting these lights, GO GET THEM!! You will not be disappointed.

Bought these during a daily special deal. However didn't realize that they were generation 2 and not generation 3. Seems like the Gen 3 bulbs are a little brighter, but the cost on these were substantially less. Had no problem pairing them (as usual have not had any issues with pairing Philips Hue products to the bridge)

I am addicted to Philips Hue lighting! The only caveat is that they are not necessarily the cheapest and there are other alternatives in the market. However, you cannot go wrong with this product in the Phillips hue line. The interface is easy to use and reliable - 100% recommend if you have the money!

I use one light for over my sink and the other in the garage. The sink light is programmed for when I am in the house. The garage light is bright enough to illuminate the garage and soft enough to not attract bugs. What an awesome light that can be used with multiple colors and purposes.

I have 2 of these in my kitchen. When enetering my kitchen, the light switch for the lights is on the wall way over on the back wall. As soon as i enter kitchen, now all i say is hey google turn on kitchen lights and they come on instantlY! Any color!! Love it!

This is my 4th BR30 bulb purchased. I absolutely love them. Not only the color changing, but the different shades of white. If you have tried Phillips Hue yet, you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s a whole new world of lighting.

Got 6 of these on the daily deal, they were half price. Still expensive for the color quality of the LEDs. The green is more yellowish. Like the Phillips Hue products, but think the listing of 2nd generation bulb may have been misstated.
