I have mostly Philips bulbs but also a few GE Links. So far, everything has worked as expected. The only problem I had was in transferring my old hub settings to the new one. Kept hanging on a firmware update for the new hub. This occurred within the same few days that Philips released a firmware update to block new uncertified 3rd party bulbs and then changed their mind. So I waited a day and tried again and everything worked fine. I figured it must have been related to expecting a firmware update that was no longer on the servers. Other than that, everything has worked as expected. HomeKit integration is nice.

Our old hub broke just as this came out. It's mostly the same with a better shaped A/C adapter, but the biggest benefit is the homekit compatibility.

I purchased this hub, along with a dimmer package to begin home automation. Setup was easy. Works great. It also integrates with NEST also.

This bridge allows you to control this bulb with your phone/tablet. Apple users can use Siri to turn on/off the lights.

This newer bridge allows you to use iOS Siri on your hue lights. The setup was straightforward and there's an easy option to transfer your lights from your old bridge.

I replaced the older generation Hue bridge with the new updated bridge. It's nice to turn on/off the lights with Siri very effectively and promptly. One feature I hope is added when updates come out is to be able to tell Siri which color you want the lights and to be able to turn particular lightship other than that worth the purchase of the be bridge.

I had connectivity problems with the previous bridge version, and this one doesn't seem to make it better. My lights are downstairs, and the bridge is upstairs. And it can never find the lights, unless I bring the lights right next to it.

There's 2 of these units available from Best Buy- one was less expensive than the other. The only difference is that the more expensive one comes with a nicer packaging. They both seem to be the same unit though. The unit works well. It responds to Siri and can be controlled either with your voice, with your phone, or u can set it to work automatically.

I upgraded to this bridge to use home kit with my lights. But, after installing, I can't say I really use that feature. Hopefully there are more features coming to this bridge.

We had the first edition brain for the Hue bulbs and now we got the latest version. Easy to install. Works exactly how it's supposed to.

***FOLLOW DIRECTIONS*** If you have the older generation and are replacing with the product (like I was), don't be a hero - read the directions. I love being able to tell Siri which scene to turn my lights to. I have an Amazon Echo that can turn them on and off and dim lights but not recall specific scenes from the app like Siri can.

I bought this as a gift for my son, who just moved into his new apartment. He absolutely loves this. He is bent on controlling his whole apartment with his phone. This has enabled him to do this with his lights. Great product that comes with lots of options. Highly recommend!

I actually had better connectivity with the old bridge, kind of strange since this is new and updated software. If I would have know this I would have kept the older one!

    Blocks Third Party

The Hue 2.0 Bridge works great, as long as you have Hue or "Friends of Hue" bulbs. It works great to create scenes and control bulbs with Siri. BUT...With the latest update, third party bulbs no longer work. For those of us who spent a lot of money on other bulbs, Philips decision to try to corner the market by now blocking bulbs that used to work is a slap in the face to previously loyal customers.

Like all the new features. Like the square shape instead of the old round shape.
