We absolutely love having the Phillips hue bulbs in our home with all of the different moods we can achieve

Needed a bulb with a candelabra base and bought this to work with my other hue lights. Has worked fine

Excellent light, colors, etc. Good smart features, but height of bulb itself is too long.

These are great candle color LED lamp bulbs.. Espececially the blues! These work with amazon alexa, apple homekit, and even google assistant. These are not for everyone however, as they are pretty expensive, especially for just one. But wow are they cool once you are in the Philips Hue ecosystem. They even will work with your Hue Dimmer Switch, Hue Tap, and Hue Motion Sensor. I was suprised to find out it also will work with a Nest or SmartThings setup too. I love being able to change the light colors from my smartphone and tablet, and changing the actual “HUE” of the colors too. It is like being able to change the color of the paint on a room at your will!! The bulbs themselves are there brightest on the middle brightness settings. While the bulbs are pricey, I can see getting even more of these down the line. For those new to the Phlips HUE ecosystem, you must have a Hue Bridge to use these as intended to control your lights for virtually anywhere you have an internet connection!

I have been a huge fan of the Hue lights. I wanted to try the candle lights, however I am not a huge fan of these. they are not the same in colors and brightness as the regular hue bulbs. Try and some may like, however I am not liking. they are dim and dont show colors well.

The experience with the candle style Philip Hue light was a bit difficult getting it to work with connectivity but after a couple hours it began to connect with ease very enjoyable but again I will have to say if you want color and your lamp only fits this style you have no other choices

Great solution for ceiling fan lamp that does not have a dimmer switch.

If you're reading this, I am assuming you've already invested in the Phillips Hue ecosystem. You need a Hue Bridge to get things going (sold separately or in a starter kit) and then you can add bulbs as you go along. With that in mind, this bulb's biggest drawback is the price; $50 for a bulb is tough to swallow when you need dozens to fill your house. You're probably like me and just pick a few light fixtures here and there to convert from "dumb to smart." Set up is easy. Once you screw it in, turn the light switch on, (assuming you have a Hue Bridge) it takes seconds to find the bulb on the Hue app. Adjusting the color is super easy and honestly, fun. The options are endless. My biggest concern (and it may be my lack of experience and use of the bulbs) is that I can't adjust the colors of the bulbs with my voice via Google Home. So I have to go into the app to change the color. This honestly isn't a big deal, you would think that you would change the colors all the time, but you really don't. And the other big drawback applies to ALL smart light bulbs, they rely on the wall switch to be on in order to activate with your voice. IF the switch is off, you can' turn it on with your voice. My only word of advice is to MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SIZE BULB!! This is a decorative candle bulb for certain light fixtures and are NOT the same size as "normal" light bulbs.

These bulbs are fantastic. First of all they are very high quality, not cheap construction. They are LED and inside the bulb is WiFi circuitry. As is normal with devices that are distributed in your network, you do need to purchase a special HUB to communicate to the devices. At first this might seem unnecessary for example if you have other smart HUBs, and want to just connect via those HUBs to the Hue Philips smart bulbs, but you cannot without the additional Hue HUB. This is true for Samsung Smart Home and also for Alexa type devices. You will need to purchase the Hue HUB, but my feedback is that you are better off anyway as you will see that you have unique options and setup within the Hue HUB/App that will indeed work better with the Hue smart bulbs. You can connect Alexa once you have the Hue Hub as well as the bulbs and use voice control. So buy the HUB and download the Hue Philips app to your phone. The HUB is not expensive. This Hue App will make it very simple to set up and use your bulbs. Now you can alter the colors if you have color LED Hue bulbs or change the kind of white light with other bulbs. This is great for getting the right light for what you are doing like reading or brighter for assembling electronics or whatever. The HUE app is very well done and professional, easy to use and never fails. The app also has some canned lighting setups for a particular ambience you may like - so that's another benefit of the Hue App. One piece of feedback is important and I did not know this till I tried it. If you configure a bedroom light for example into your smart lighting setup, you might think that you will need the cell phone to turn the light on and the cell phone may be off charging or otherwise not available. Not to worry, flip the light switch off then back on, and the bulb will light - that's smart design by Philips even though it sounds simple. However, when you shut the bulb power down and back on, any special lighting color for that bulb that you had set is removed and you’ll have to set up your colors and brightness levels again. I definitely recommend the Philips bulbs and HUB, it is another correct step in automating your home.

Expensive for what it is and for your electric bill, especially if have alot of these bulbs. But performs well and adds a grea feature for the sync box.

Colors aren’t super bright but do the job. Hue lights are just fantastic, these bulbs aren’t super bright or vibrant but will do the job. Wish they were a little brighter.

Not super bright but uses all features via hue app and conpatible apps, again not a light for lighting a space more so a light to add an element to your neon space

These bulbs are VERY expensive for what you are going to get. If you need these don’t have your expectations set high.
